XD I notice things fairly well. It's just that most of the time I don't know what to say or how to say it. Thus the picture to convey it.

Here's hoping I see your CD's on shelves at music stores at India.  :kamina

Thanks.  Now I will have "Istanbul, not Constantinople" stuck in my head for the next 30 years.

Heeeey, I never expounded on my love for The Road To Middle-Earth yet, did I? It's rare to get a glimpse at a great artist's creative process to begin with, so this is really a gold mine. It should be part of a big series IIRC, or at least I seem to remember several books on the subject. At least, that wasn't the cover when I rented it back in 2003.

Either in that book or a similar one, there's a passage about how Tolkien got all the way up to the gate of Moria in an early draft of The Fellowship of the Ring, and then he realized: Oh snap, I should have an Elf and a Dwarf in the party, shouldn't I? And that thought would forever affect Orlando Bloom's career decades later. Classic stuff.

Haven't you heard, Saj? I'm a JaWHOva's Witness. Have you heard the good word about The Doctor, our Time-Lord and Savior? He descended from the heavens in a modest blue wooden box and died to to save humanity from damnation and total destruction, and then he rose again... and then he died again... and rose again... and died again... and rose again... and, well, you get the idea.

I am sure I have some pamphlets around here, if you are interested. I would offer the Doctor Who Bible, but it is printed on psychic paper so that actually isn't as useful as one might think.

I love Black Swan. Love love love love love. I love the way it plays with cliches so daringly. I love the way it plays with the doppelganger folktale as a dark or moral double. I love the way it doesn't fucking care whether anything it portrays is actually real or not-- it's all about the psychological content.

I love that it is utterly unrepentant about showing dedication to art: the horrifying OCD self-mutilating aspects of it and the transcendent peak. This movie doesn't care to be a morality parable, it cares about portraying the intensity of experience.

I love that it is a movie about women, for once. I love that I can relate to it in terms of my female experience-- I don't know if that's ever happened before.

I saw it a month ago and my dreams are still fucked (and I love it).

@Syna: The way you described this Black Swan kinda made me wanna look into it, coz those psychological interpretations of something generic and innovative are right up my alley. But did you mean a movie about a woman? Hopefully not a chick flick?

...Are you serious?  You can make a movie about a woman / women without it being a chick flick.
