Nope, can't say I have read either. The blog looks very interesting, though. However, I'd really want to read the books first, but I can't say the books have really been calling out for me to read them.

Don't.  They're terribly written and are full of abysmal theology.

I pity the fool who doesn't understand why that is something to love.

Haha.  Very true.  I've actually never thought of that.

Wow!

From the deviantART pages of fellow Compendiumite Yapi, this temple looks nice enough but not particularly extraordinary...until you realize the size of the humans in the photograph.

Yapi isn't a Compendiumite that I know of, just a Chrono fan on deviantArt. She did do a pretty kickass Chrono meme though

Ah, so it would seem! You were the one who posted that link in CHRONO COMIX. I think Yapi should join the Compendium and Draw For Us.

I love that the icon from Google Chrome looks a lot like one of the craft from the old game, A.R.C.
Every time I see it, it brings back fond memories of playing that with friends back in High School.

I have a little policy of always posting in here when I put something in the Frustration thread...but this time nothing comes to mind. I could be trite and say that I love the lasagna I'll be eating in about thirty minutes, or corny and say that I love the crispness of an autumn afternoon, but the reason these would be trite or corny is because I'd just be posting them to fill my quota here in the Love thread, rather than being genuinely impassioned by those things to the point of posting about them for their own sake.

Unrelated: I definitely have no love whatsoever for the sorry state of centralized reference sources on the Internet.

I suppose the lovey-est thought I've had today is for my own awareness. I love what awareness I have.

I also love coffee, and I'd kill for a cup right now, but I'm not likely to have one, so that would probably best belong in the Frustration thread, which would send me back here yet again...so forget I said anything about it! =P

Sounds like J needs something to inspire him!

While I'm here.. I love photoshop (again). I love how tiny pixels of just slightly different shades can make images look completely different. The Pterranyx has a lightish pink instead of a white colour, but when surrounded by those other reds it's as white as a sheet!

I love CS4's quick selection tool. Also the "Add to Selection" and "Subtract from Selection" options. Seriously, combinations of selections make WHATEVER you're trying to do come out faster, easier, and prettier. Kudos, Adobe!

Also mad belated props for absorbing Macromedia! You deserved it!

Add to Selection and Subtract from Selection options could always be accessed by holding shift and alt, respectively. I've not quite figured out the Quick Selection tool, but I do love the Magic Wand.

Okayokay, fairly new material: I love being a photoshop tutor. I get to teach noobs how to use photoshop! It's great! Plus I get paid to do what I love

How does one get into something like that?

"Hey you make cool pictures. Tell me how."

"K. Gimme fifty bucks."

It's through the school. One of the photoshop teachers was literally begging to get a tutor in her room, so as soon as I applied for my usual hours of english tutoring, the tutor coordinator said "FUCK NO YOU'RE DOING PHOTOSHOP." (Also one of the students is really cute, but I think he's one of those hardcore goths... too bad)

I can totally imagine Picard saying exactly that, too.
