Too bad Queen Zeal isn't playable -- didja see that doujin art? I'm linking it b/c I love it so. She reminds me of a deranged KOS-MOS, and that Prophet profile ain't shabby either! The face could certainly be recolorized to achieve flesh tones.

That's so adorable ;_; who made that?

Anyway, what I dislike of the current portraits is that they jump in style WAY too much between each other. I had the idea you could use the second Toriyama (for PSX) artworks of the main characters, and just redo them into 16 bits. It's STILL fan work, and everything is based more on editing than creating anyway, so I'd see nothing bad with it <.<

If you decide to keep with the fanarts, I'd say, make the portraits more consistant.

And I don't like Lucca at all. =X

Portraits are actually taken care of now, so this thread could be locked if the Crimson Echoes team wishes. Darkken's mad skillz will wow everyone. His art for Crimson Echoes is currently under wraps to preserve the surprise, but here's a Lucca portrait he did for Chrono Cross:


Note that this doesn't reflect the style the Crimson Echoes portraits are actually in, only darkken's skill at emulating various styles. The Crimson Echoes portraits are perfect for SNES portraits.

I think Lucca's hair is pinker than that pic shows though...that's almost closer to Magus' hair...>_>

The first pictures that was posted :).

Most likely i think it still looks pretty good but does pictures kinda don't fit a Chrono trigger kinda look. I think the Chrono and Magus looks solid.
