Episode 143 aired today. I watched it in raw format since the subbed version hasn't been released yet. Grimmjow is incredible (nothing new, though, eh?) in this one.

Also, apparently the 7th opening, After Dark (by Asian Kung-fu Generation), begins with this episode, along with a new ending. However, whoever uploaded the episode stupidly cut both the opening and ending. So we'll have to wait for some new uploads.

And Bleach Wii: Shattered Blade is, according to Wikipedia, getting a UK release. No characters are cut from the English versions of the game, despite being ahead of current dub episodes.

Since the beginning of this semester, I've sort of doodled on a desk I sit in for two classes. I've done it mainly because the day I sat in it, I noticed it was cover in random drawings (nothing identifiable). It's like a big communal easel. So for the past several weeks, I've been honing Grimmjow's jaw on that thing, usually erasing (yes, it's a small, boring class) all but one. I've only been drawing his jaw piece.

Well, earlier this week, I come in and notice this drawn at the top:

Captioned with "Ulquiorra Schiffer".

I was like, hell yes! Really brightened my day. So I went ahead and tried drawing a complete Grimmjow face, but I haven't had a 'response' yet.

Heheh, awesome.

The 7th opening and 13th ending have been delayed until episode 144, which in turn is delayed until October 17th (which is why there was no new Bleach episode this week).

On the bright side, Bleach: The Blade of Fate for the DS got positive reception at IGN: http://uk.ds.ign.com/articles/825/825802p1.html
I might import it (since a UK release is either unlikely or will take forever). The game covers up to the end of the Soul Society arc, I think, so no Arrancar.

Bleach 144 was great. Not too much filler material, thankfully (but the traps scene was pretty funny, anyway).

Oh, and it brings us the fantastic new opening, After Dark, by Asian Kung-fu Generation. Personally, I love this opening, and can't get the song out of my head. The video is pretty cool, too, especially how the Espada and Aizen are portrayed in black and white. I was surprised that it didn't include Ichigo and Grimmjow fighting, though.

The new ending, Tane wo maku hibi (Day seeds are scattered), is pretty good, though Houki Hoshi still sits at the top, if you ask me.

Anyway... Is it just me or is the anime beginning to lose its 'oomph' with the fight scenes? I just felt the Iceringer/Demōra battle was lacking in comparison with the manga...

Anyone played The Blade of Fate yet?

Probably because the animators have already heard the news...

I don't read the manga of course, but I did catch a news release that starting with episode...147 I think, a new filler arc begins.

Honestly, instead of trying to cop some new drama out of Hueco Mundo, they might as well show Zaraki Kenpachi cutting things for a few episodes. Or like, fake fights.

Or, they could have Tite Kubo himself write a 'Kenpachi Gaiden' (like the Kakashi arc made for the Naruto manga) to cover for filler time. He did say, after all, that he would like to go into Kenpachi's background more.

And yeah, episode 147, "Forest of Menos! The Search for the Missing Rukia" is no doubt the beginning of filler. There was nothing like that in the manga.

I gotta say, thank god for the new OP. The last one was freaking awful, depressive, and whiny. I wish I could somehow erase "ore ta awai tsubasa" from my brain forever. It started with that awful lyric, and then it showed Ichigo sitting against a wall like he'd just lost the fight.

Oh well; that's over.

I loved the Alones opening. I didn't find it depressing... much.

and then it showed Ichigo sitting against a wall like he'd just lost the fight.

There's a reason for that, though.

Fuck fucking yes. I can rest easy knowing now that after the next filler arc (which is going to take place in Hueco Mundo), I can expect some Kenpachi. Maybe a year from now; who knows how long it will be. But Zaraki Kenpachi will return and cut some people up. CUT. CUT!!!!

Check the attached images. You'll love the last one.

The Hueco Mundo filler arc has officially begun, people.

Yea the filler has definitely started.

I don't think Rukia or Renji are even in the manga for this arc. If my memory serves me right, but I could definitely be wrong on that. IF they do come in, it's probably much later.

One of you guys are sure to know that answer lol. Here's to hoping the filler is decent at least.
