It hasn't even been a month since CTDS came out in Europe, though...

Now I'm imagining Dalton's voice is the same as Skeletor or Megatron...! >_>

"I Will cause the fall of Gaurdia, yes yes."

Sad thing is, I would have taken Dalton more seriously had his line actually been that.

Well I bought it! *chalks one on the board*

There have been double page spread adverts for it in games magazines etc, and being the first anticipated european release, I hope it flies off the shelves. This is reliving my childhood with loads of people discovering it! Great stuff!

It got really good scores from reviewers, 9/10s and 10/10s all over the shot, and has a 10/10 review sticker on the front of the box! :D

Im taking a little break, Im already 15 hours in. I wanna enjoy it, dont want it to end! I love the way its set up, altho I havent tried DS controls yet (and the first thing i did was change run to manual rather than automatic, much better the classic way).

=)

Good to know it's getting lots of advertisement in Europe.

No one seemed to have updated the european sales. Anyone knows where you can actually check that?

I'm pretty sure I've said it in this very thread a couple times, lockgar...CTDS only came out in Europe earlier this month (February). Sales figures usually wait a bit to add up before they're released.

The "Look over there!" trick actually worked. Look down upon Dalton all you want, but you have to look down further to the heroes. >_>

What are you talking about...? Did someone bring up that line? I believe ryu planeswalker & FW was talking about Dalton's DV line...

I blame SE horrible Ad campaign. "Good Morning Crono!" That's it? Come on, where were the TV commercials. It definitely should have gotten more publicity than goddamn FFXII. It needed it more and was a much better game.

I think it's probably difficult to gather money for advertising for the 2nd port of a game...

Aye, it's downright unnecessary, since the game was virtually unchanged. Part of this comes back to whether SE wanted CTDS to lure in newcomers, or whether they were more after the diehard fans.

Although that's just TV commercials, didn't they do pretty well getting the word out in gaming magazines?

But they didn't need to. They only needed one or two ads in magazines, because after all they were video game magazines.

Right, but they got tons of reviews and things like that. And I'd think that was probably the easiest and cleanest way to reach their target demographic.

Anyways, I don't know much about their marketing strategy for CT--which is why I kinda look more towards the sales figures instead.
