Alternate Frog's Theme?

For the longest time I thought there was more to Frog's Theme music than I had found in normal SPC soundtracks for some reason. Unfortunately, I had never found proof, so I just thought I was crazy. However, a few days ago I came across a version of Frog's Theme that has a different section that plays before/after the main theme.

I may be wrong, but I do not remember this playing in the original SNES version of the game. Is this alternative theme found in the PSX version? The flute sounds a bit different than in the regular theme. If not, where did this alternate theme come from?

It's how it was originally written(which is why you hear it on the usual OST collection) but it got cut short for looping reasons or somesuch.

Yup. Sorry to say what you hear in game isn't the whole song.

The Lavos song on the soundtrack and other parts of the game have a part that goes into a "Day the World Revived" tune, but it just loops in other places.

mitsuda was talking about it in an interview about how the producers or whomever wanted frogs theme to start at that queue of the song because it felt to them like the intro didnt properly fit.

The intro just didn't fit correctly.  Try to imagine the song used when Frog leaves the castle after the Queen is rescued, for example.

It was deleted sometime in the early beta (before the pre-release) and also didn't make it to the OST.  It was restored in the PSX version Music Box bonus.

Unlike Lavos Theme, CT Attract Mode and The Hidden Truth songs, which use a state change command, the Frog intro was a regular song that just happend to have the intro deleted.
