General Discussion / Summer Plans
« on: May 17, 2009, 09:08:36 pm »
Hello everyone! :) So, assuming that we have a high number of university students here, most of us are finally through with our spring semester now. We're finally free for a few months! My question for all you lovely members of the Compendium (including those who aren't in school and are out in the workforce) is: What are your plans this summer? Do you plan on working? Going on vacation? Live a life of lethargy? Maybe a little bit of everything? Do share!

Welcome to the Compenidum.
Thank you! I appreciate it. :)

Welcome!

Normally I'm the 'welcome gu'y who tries to convince people to get involved with all the ongoing fan projects, but seeing that, well... The Day of Lavos has occurred here in the forums, I don't think there's much for me to convince you to do.  Go draw a picture or something...?  Go write a Chrono poem...?  *sigh*
I'm so very sorry about what happened recently concerning the fan projects; all I can offer are hugs, and the fact that as long as we fans are still here, our love of the Chrono Series will still live on. :) *hugs* If CT: CE ever decides to do a full revamp in order to avoid copyright infringement, I'd gladly contribute my skills as a musician in any way possible. I was actually thinking of doing some real instrument covers of some of the music from the Chrono series, so if that idea ever pulls through, I genuinely hope they'll lighten the spirits of the people here.

Welcome to the forums. :kamina
Thank you! :) Your avatar makes me smile.

Welcome.  Always good to have a talented musician in our midst.  (I'm not one myself, though I admire musicians.  The closest I get is playing Rock Band.)

And, as a lactose intolerant representative of the community, I'll gladly offer up a tofutti cake.

I'll gladly accept the delicious tofutti cake! :D Less than a day after joining, and I'm already stocked up on delicious snacks. Lucky me! Also, I wish I had Rock Band skills; I'm dreadful at it. I think it's because being a musician, I tend to overanalyze it. "The green button was the F# a minute ago, now it's A?! I am epic fail."

General Discussion / Re: Stuff you LOVE, baby

Personally, I love RPGs with plots so complex that you have to read analysis articles on them. ;) Nothing titillates me more than escapism that utterly confounds me in the process. I also love lipstick and have quite a collection! I also adore cats, particularly, my cat Booshki. She is usually up to no good, but I love her all the same. Lastly, I love and am addicted to educational television. National Geographic, Science Channel, and the Travel Channel are all candy for my mind. I especially enjoy specials about anything involving space... or volcanoes. Either way!

Wow, thank you, everyone! :) I really appreciate all the incredibly warm welcomes.

Welcome!  Things are sorta hectic right now with the whole CT:CE ...thing...

But learning more about the Chronoverse is something we are all about, so feel free to dive right in!
Being the naive new person I am, I will have to look into what this CT:CE project is. :) Hopefully there isn't a scandal! I am very excited about diving into discussions, though. Being an analytical geek is truly what I do best!

By the way, you are way too intelligent to be nineteen years old. Stop doing that.
Oh goodness! Thank you. :) If it's any consolation, I turn 20 quite soon.

Welcome tot he party, Zelbess! I hope you'll enjoy yourself here.

... I say we have cheesecake instead of kettlecorn. My god, is cheesecake good...
Thank you, Teaflower! Cheesecake is indeed delicious, but I'll probably have to stick to my inferior kettle corn; lactose intolerance can be a bummer sometimes. Unless, forum cheesecake happens to be lactose free? ;)

Cheesecake flavored kettle corn??

Anyways, welcome~!! Laith is more like the loud drunk at the party we say, "Hey, go be loud & annoying over there, will ya?", but he tries so hard you can't put him down much about it.

Here's something Random & Google'd for ya...

There was really not much non-Chrono Cross stuff when I Google'd "Zelbess", which I guess makes sense...But w/e...I couldn't really find anything good, so you get that. Enjoy~!!
Hey, fish cakes! I'll take it. :) It's definitely applicable; I mean, Zelbess is a mermaid and has a giant cruise ship named after her. It's nautical - it works!

Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts... My god, am I getting old! LoL.

Welcome!
You are not old - I'm just one of those annoying young whippersnappers. :)  If it makes you feel better, the original Wild Arms came out in '96. (Complete with 2d graphics and unnatural hair colored silent protagonist!)

Fan Art / Re: Schala sprite WIP
« on: May 17, 2009, 01:07:35 am »
That looks great! :) I'm a pixel artist myself, so I love seeing sprites. Everything looks very nice, but I think a brown might be better for the outline color. It'll soften it up a little bit! That's my only suggestion, though. Everything else looks wonderful!

General Discussion / Re: New Lunar remake
« on: May 17, 2009, 12:59:37 am »
Wow, this is very exciting news. :) Might have go out and purchase myself a PSP now, just for this game. I'm a huge fan of the Lunar series - both SSS and EB had such charm to to them. I sometimes wish RPGs were still limited in graphics, because it basically forces the creators to make the writing and characters exciting and endearing. New games just don't have the same charm! Here's to hoping EB will eventually be released on PSP; I lent my copy out to a friend years ago and never got it back. I still regret that decision. :P

Why thank you! :) I certainly hope Kettle Corn is an acceptable snack at this party.

Hello there, everyone. :) My name is Alexa, and as I'm sure you all can tell, I'm new. I'm incredibly excited to join Chrono Compendium; the Chrono series has always been a passion and favorite of mine, and I'm eager to contribute to discussions and learn more about the Chrono universe. I've read a lot of articles and analyses by members here and am flabbergasted to be around such brilliant people. Hopefully my mind is sharp enough to be amongst you guys! I'm a wee bit rusty!

As for a little about me, I am a music major; my primary instrument is voice, and I focus mainly on opera. I also play cello and piano and love both dearly! While I'm not being a slave to my music theory homework, I am an avid RPG gamer and love to cook. My favorite Chrono character is Harle, and my other favorite game series are Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts. I draw a little, too, but the quality of the said drawings is questionable.

I'm excited to get to know you all! :D
