That's awesome! This is one of my fav pieces.
Agreed! When I ran across this picture a few months back, I had to track down the artist! Lucky for me, he was super interested in the project!
So small update/question. I've finally come up with a tentative budget for Cross Symphonic to be recorded live by some of the top musicians in the United States...and it's...ahem...large...
In order to even have a chance of funding this thing I'm going to need to get this campaign in front of as many people as possible. I've been toying with the idea of using Reddit/Facebook/Google ad targeting to promote the Kickstarter once it's launched. Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences with any of these platforms? Have these types of ads ever grabbed your attention? Is it worth investing some money into, or are they more or less irrelevant?
I've already invested quite a bit into this project, and I'm more then willing to invest more, but I don't want it to go to waste. Ultimately I want Cross Symphonic to deliver an experience that no other game album has. A cinematic, musical journey through a wonderful world. A retelling of a story that we all love. I don't want to skimp because "it's just video game music," or "the fans won't notice if you trim the orchestra," or "nobody cares if you use cheaper players." Mitsuda's music deserves a world class experience, and so do the fans that love and support this franchise.
