Which are the very best three armors?

In Chrono Cross, the three best armors are:
1. Prism Mails (highest DEF & M.DEF values)
2. Ghetz Shirt (highest evasion rate of all)
3. Stardust Cape (child size only - high evasion rate boost & good defense)

In Chrono Trigger, the three best armors are:
1. Moon Armor
2. Nova Armor
3. Prism Dress (for females only)

Thanks dankun but in cross my characters serge, glenn, and fargo. so the stardust cape would be worthless and where do I get the prism mails.

You've got to forge them, and like all other Prism stuff they require Rainbow Shells and Shiny materials, which can only be gathered by casting summons.

You're welcome. It's quite a pain to forge them and is expensive also. You can only get so much, considering the fact that there are only 20 rainbow shells in the game (one play through). Plus, there's the fact that you need to get at least 1 of each of the shiny materials in order to forge them. Since the Lv.7 white summon is only for healing purposes, you can't really do this until you've beaten the Sky Dragon and recieved the Saints summon.

In Trigger, I always liked the Safe Helmet. It gave my casters some much-needed defense, since when I was on my 3rd playthrough, Lavos decided not to use a special move on every turn. Instead, he decided to slap my two casters, leaving poor Crono by himself.

And, I always thought Nova Armor was waaay better than Moon Armor. Moon was just some high defense, while Nova kept you from getting Chaos, Sleep, Poison, or anything else (didnt work on Lock, strange...).
