Unfortunately, Xathael disappeared completely before the work was completed; a few entries were left blank. Additionally, some were keen to what his disappearance would mean to his website -- without certain days of activity by a site creator, Geocities naturally purges personal pages of this kind. In 2003, Chrono Testament met that fate. Amazingly, it was backed up and delivered to the Chrono Compendium, where it was released on its July 11th 1st Anniversary. The return of this wonderful source of study is very much welcome; below, Xathael's Chrono Testament can be found in the same structure it existed in on Geocities, word-for-word intact, preserved exactly as it was. I have also researched what I could of his unfinished entries, and have made a supplement that can be found at the bottom of this page.

Enjoy Xathael's work, for it indeed a testament to the analysis and discussion of Chrono Trigger and the rest of the series.

Chrono Testament was a Geocities website created by a person named Xathael to illuminate similarities between Chrono Trigger and Christianity. While Masato Kato refuted the idea that Chrono Trigger is a Christian allegory at GamePro Interview, some fans were still convinced. It covered nearly every major and minor character in the game.

Xathael disappeared completely before the work was completed, leaving a few entries blank. In 2003, Geocities purged the Chrono Testament due to its inactivity. It was amazingly backed up and delivered to the Chrono Compendium, where it was released on its July 11th 1st Anniversary. Xathael's Chrono Testament can be found below in its original structure and mostly intact. Supplemental research to round out the unfinished content is also available.
