Japanese Doujins are all the rage in the Japanese video game music remixing scene. Instead of big centralized sites like OCRemix and VGMix, most remixers across the Pacific prefer to take part in large projects or issue many remixes at once on a commercial album. These are apparently approved or sold underground; some artists become popular and revered in the remixing community, and develop a reputation for quality. This does not mean that all doujins feature great work. Just like OCRemix's early (and some recent) remixes and VGMix's lower tiers, bad stuff can get mixed in. For this reason, you are probably better off searching for these songs on Direct Connect ++ or one of its equivalents. Another problem is that since there are no central remixing hubs, doujin selling and personal remix hosting is often done on a myriad of tiny websites, which are prone to going down due to sheer number and statistical probability. Where we could find an order page, the Chrono Compendium has listed where one can acquire doujins for each entry. Additionally, a basic 1-2-3 quality system (arbitrary, based on US remixing standards) is featured to assist you in buying. Don't forget to check the doujin creator's websites, as they'll often host free songs or samples that can help you determine whether you'd like to purchase a Japanese remixing album. Just have fun with these!

Since the Doujins were taking up a ton of useless space (since hardly anyone actually buys them or checks them out seriousyl), the listings have been moved here. US remix arrangements are purchased more frequently, and remain with official albums on the respective game music pages.
