While American and other remixers mostly release individual tracks, Japanese artists sell remix CDs called doujins. Instead of big centralized sites like OCRemix and VGMix, the Japanese community is focused mainly on solo albums and occasional large group collaborations. That they cost money does not mean that all doujins feature great work. Another problem is that since there are no central remixing hubs, doujin selling and personal remix hosting is often done on tons of tiny websites, which often go down or disappear with time. Where we could find an order page, the Chrono Compendium has listed where one can acquire doujins for each entry. Additionally, a basic 1-2-3 quality system (arbitrary, based on US remixing standards) is featured to assist you in buying.

Don't forget to check the doujin creator's websites, as they'll often host free songs or samples that can help you determine whether you'd like to purchase. Just have fun with these! Since the Albums and Doujins were taking up a ton of useless space on the music pages (since hardly anyone actually buys them or checks them out seriously), the listings have been moved here. A huge thank you goes out to to niki and the other administrators of saladedemais, who have tirelessly collected and researched Japanese fan music arrangements and remixes. The two largest listings of doujins are ODDB and Ahoge.

Chrono Symphonic: A Cinematic Interpretation is an album of 25 songs, orchestral "rearrangements" of the music from the classic video game Chrono Trigger for the SNES. Chrono Symphonic is a non-profit collaboration of musicians and lovers of Chrono Trigger, the soundtrack of which having originally been composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, Nobuo Uematsu and Noriko Matsueda. The double disc album has each disc named after a pairing of elements, Fire/Light and Shadow\Ice. Inspired by a fan-made Chrono Trigger movie script by Andrew Triplett, the project marks OverClocked ReMix's first foray into amateur film scoring. Though almost completely digital, the album was intended to sound like a movie score. The convolution-based reverb settings used to simulate a live environment were that of the 700-seat Promenadikeskus Concert Hall in Pori, Finland. The project began on October 15, 2004 with prospective artists auditioning past work for project manager Andrew Triplett, followed by having the participating artists pick tracks to recreate. The album was originally planned for release on September 27, 2005, one of the dates regarded as the 10th anniversary of the American release of Chrono Trigger. The project was later delayed on several occasions including audio engineer Roland Löhlbach belatedly receiving some participants tracks and experiencing various computer issues, project director Andrew Triplett addressing a lack of high-bandwidth mirrors, and webmaster Anders Gatu having to code the distribution script under too tight of a deadline.

takrockers!!設立当初より妄想していたクロノトリガーアレンジ。

takrockers!! SAMPLEでも遠い約束のボーカルアレンジを収録しましたが、本「Journey Through the Brilliant days.」（以下「JTB」）にて、ついに念願のアレンジフルアルバムを完成させることができました。

JTB制作に当たって、

  • 生演奏を活かした自然な音作り。
  • 多様なジャンルによる彩り鮮やかなアレンジ
  • クロノファンならニヤリとするフレーズの応酬

なんかを心がけながら創った気がします（遠い記憶）。

とにかく捨て曲がないクロノサントラですから、出来る限りの曲とヲタ心をこのCDに詰め込んだつもりです。

各曲は時代ごとで分類して、各時代を彷彿させるアレンジを施しました。タイトル通り、束の間の「時間旅行」を楽しんでいただければと思います。

余談ですが、ゲーム内の時間軸と逆行する形で音楽の時間軸も並べてみました。（未来や現代・中世はスタンダードに、古代や原始の曲は現代風になってます）

でも厳密な時代考証とかではなく「雰囲気」程度なので、本当に余談な感じです、大目に見てやってください（笑）

1. i_ris,i_rot -序奏-
Song of the Introduction

電源投入して最初に流れる「予感」のアレンジです。「時間旅行」の始まりをイメージする楽曲。

具体的には「旅行前日になかなか寝れない」って感じでしょうか（笑）

2. Trip! -時の歪みに身をまかせ-
Songs of the Opening

クロノトリガーメインテーマのアレンジ。旅に欠かせない乗り物として、ところどころシルバードが混じってます。

アルバム全編を通してそうなのですが、特にこの曲では、BBのギター＆ベース、鷺のオルガン＆サックス、もっちー。のドラムと、３人の演奏者のコンビネーションと掛け合いがよく表れてるかなとか。

ところで飛行機にしろ車にしろ船にしろ、乗り物＝フュージョンのイメージがあるのは自分だけではないと信じたい。

3. it's fine today -千年サンバ-
Songs of the Present age

現代のメインイベント、王国千年祭を中心としたラテン風アレンジ。「楽しい」アルバムを目指したJTBを象徴してる楽曲でもあります。

中盤の掛け合いソロ風の各種フレーズはもうやりたい放題です（笑）

自身も楽しんでアレンジしたというもっちー。のパーカッションは必聴！

4. An old wind -秋日饗乱-
Songs of the Middle age

名曲の宝庫、中世をまとめてボサノヴァ～ジャズ風なんちゃってアレンジ。中世＝秋＝ジャズなイメージで勢い一発まとめました。

自分がジャズちっくなアレンジを施すのは初挑戦だったのですが、鷺が水を得た魚の如く、エレピにピアノにサックスにと大活躍してます（笑）

5. Johnny Be Rising! -キャシーはゴキゲンナナメ-
Songs of the Future

タイトルで言わずもがな、未来のジョニー～バイクチェイスのアレンジ。廃墟を流離うロボ・ジョニーと、その恋人？ロボ・キャシーの愛の物語。作中のジョニーと同一かは不明です。…が、少なくても同型のマシンです（笑）

なおサックスは舎弟ロボ・サギーの演奏であり、takrockers!!の鷺とは一切関係ありま（略

多くは語りません、とにかくRock & Roll！！！！！！！！！！ 父＆瑛の「名演」をお楽しみください（笑）

6. break time -時の場末-
Song of the Brink of time

長時間のプレイの間には小休憩を、ということで時の最果ての小ネタ。時の外れの寂れた酒場で安焼酎を手酌しながら一曲…って感じです。

なんていうか、時の最果てファンの皆様ごめんなさい（笑）

7. Chaos,Chaos,Chaos -気がつけばＧ-
Songs of the Primitive age

雰囲気は一転して最古の原始時代、ティラン城～エイラのテーマです。前述の通り、雰囲気もガラッと変えて現代風ヘヴィロックです。

エイラ達も恐竜人達も逞しいですから、このゴリゴリさが近いかなと（無理矢理）

ギタリストネタで恐縮ですが、この曲のみメインギターのSchecterではなく、美しき変形ギターRandy Vで演奏しています。ヘヴィさが違うぜ！！

8. ornc regirt -古の詩-
Songs of the Ancient age

人気時代No.1！（？）古代の時の回廊やサラのテーマをボーカルアレンジ。歌う山や中世に入るべきあの曲がこっちに入ってるのは多分にBBの趣味です（笑）

アレンジのテーマは「鬱ゲーの主題歌」でした（笑）歌詞も「ラヴォス復活を止められないサラの心境」をイメージしたので、本CDで唯一の暗めな曲ですが、ラストで未来＝クロノ達に希望を繋いだつもりです。

そんな歌詞に使われている諸単語は、お気づきの方多数だと思いますが、クロノと、クロノに関係の深い某ゲームのキーワード達の合わせ技です（笑）

9. The End of the Dream -新世紀-
Songs of the Last battle

クライマックスはやっぱりラストバトルメドレー。世界変革の時～ラヴォスのテーマ～ラストバトル～大団円って感じの流れです。

クライマックスに相応しいアレンジを悩んだ結果、某貴族ギタリスト的なフルオーケストラ＋エレキギターになりました（笑）

ある意味ネタみたいになってしまいましたが、如何にもラストバトル！な壮大アレンジをお楽しみください。

10. See you next time -またのご利用を-
Songs of the Ending

「時間旅行」の最後を締めくくるエンディングテーマ。軽快なハードロックアレンジでシンプルにまとめました。

途中で一転して「次の旅行」を示唆する曲が入ってきたりしますが（笑）

旅行の終わりは寂しいような、ちょっと安らぐような、不思議な気持ちです。最後に流れてくる「アレ」はもちろん原曲のオマージュです（笑）
