Event Geography
It's a Zeal chapter.
Our first Schala-in-Zeal chapter. It might start out with Schala, Janus and Queen Zeal keeping vigil over her dying father. This is our segue from the Wittel/Brione scene about mortality and focuses Zeal's attention on achieving immortality. Just before he dies, King Zeal asks to speak with Janus alone.
The major focus of the chapter should be Schala's inheritance of the Arbiter title, which necessitates that she receive assistance from Norstein Bekkler, Guru of Life Sciences -- he may have to moniter her vital signs while the Flame puts her through an initiation challenge of some sort. The challenge probably provides this chapter's "dungeon" in the form of a mental trial that takes place within Schala's mind. As the Frozen Flame puts Schala through her paces, it probably reveals all sorts of important things that we won't know the significance of until later on.
The chapter ends with Norstein Bekkler's disappearance, the subsequent futile search, and the appointment of Melchior to the position of Guru of Life.
