Title: (Please read first post!) Chrono Trigger + 1.08/1.1 Bug report thread
Post by: Azure on January 06, 2009, 04:43:05 pm
Alright boys and girls!  Here we are again!  I know not everyone has 1.08, but with 1.1 coming out in a week, I'll post this here now.  If the demo testers could be so kind as to post bugs and glitches here, that would be great!  Hold in there the rest of you!  You'll get 1.1 soon! :D

Also, to avoid double postings of bugs, I will try and keep every bug posted listed here.. Wish me luck!~

Bugs for 1.08:
justin3009:
-There's a typo with the beginning.  It should be "Negative" not "Negetive"
-The chests in Truce Canyon don't work.
-The exits in Melchior's house are broken.  You won't be able to progress any further at all unless you fix them in TF yourself for now.
-The Vortex Jump in Heckran Cave is busted.  You take it, and the game freezes with black screen of death

DK_Donutlicious:
-"Intangible" is spelled wrong when the Carnie is giving you the silver point card.
-No music in the new area of the fair, not sure it that is on purpose though. New area also has black along the bottom.
-Gargoyle who gives you your treasure hunter rank gives not only YOUR rank, but goes through ALL the ranks.
-No "?" at the end of the young women's sentence when asking Crono about Lucca "making ANOTHER crazy invention"
-In the circus tent to the right of Gato, there is an Atom Edge in a "chest" and an exit to the Tyranno Lair.
-During the trial, the Chancellor tells Crono to "Step forwards"
-When rescuing Fritz, he says to "Stop anytime you are in the area." Sounds kinda awkward, maybe put "Stop by anytime you are in the area."
-In Trann Dome, when Marle and Lucca are speaking, second to last textbox has It's and another word squished together (no space between).
-In Trann Dome, third man from right to left says "The mutants there don't react to very well to weapons such as guns or blades."
-Melchior's stairs trap you when going into his workshop from his kitchen. A solidarity issue I guess?
-When Melchior is telling you about the passage to Truce, he uses "to" twice, one of the times being unnecessary (if you look at the text you will see what I mean)
-The sentries at the entrance to Castle Guardia have dialogue issues: first sentry has the comma misplaced, should be after cornered, not Hero; second sentry's ending period has a space between it and the last word.
-The soldier at the stairs going down to the barracks has no title, such as Soldier or Sentry, just his text box.
-When you get the jerky rations, there is a huge space between Jerky and rations.
-Robo says to Aquire the Masamune. Should be Acquire.
-Frog, after you get the Masamune hilt, says "No one can reforge tha Masamune". Should be the.

FaustWolf:
-Crono's House - Treasure chest (Got one Ether!) Exclamation is too far out.
-Truce Mayor's Manor - just like #1, but with a Got One Tonic    !  Message
-Norstein Bekkler says "Welcome to my labratory!" Should be spelled, "laboratory."
-Boy did I appreciate that Atom Edge! However, the game will freeze if you go all the way in that tent due to Ayla's absence during the Azala scene, presumably.
-Recurrent problems with exclamation point distance in item acquisition messages.
-In Guardia Castle, 600AD, in one of the early events there, somebody says "Becareful..." Not sure which NPC it was now, but presumably someone encountered prior to speaking with disguised Marle.
-In Guardia Castle, 600AD, disguised Marle uses the words "atlast"; and "servents." Should be at last and servants.
-In Guardia Castle, 600AD, Lucca says "We don'tdon't want..."
-Manoria Cathedral, 600AD: One of the nuns uses the phrase "...tear eachother apart..." The words "each" and "other" need to be separated.
-I think when you step out of the Millennial Fair gate after the Manoria Cathedral quest Lucca says "I'd love too..." It should be I'd love to...
-Just after getting to 2300AD (In Bangor dome IIRC) Lucca says "We definately..." Should be "we definitely"
-In 2300AD, Ragged Old Woman in Arris Dome uses the phrase: "Death Peak.   There needs to be a closing quotation mark. I.e., she should say "Death Peak."
-In 2300AD, the Guardian says after defeat: "Security Mode 7 deativated."  It should be deactivated.
-In 2300AD, upon meeting Robo, Lucca says: "It's a bipedled humanoid robot!" That should be "bipedal".
-In 1000AD, when you visit Melchior's hut prior to the Heckran Cave quest, he reports that "There's also a passage to back to Truce..." ; delete the extra "to." Also, the word "deity" may be misspelled in his text.
-In 600AD, after Zombor, the Knight Captain says "We would certainly not survived" -- should read "We would certainly not have survived," though I might recommend "We certainly would not have survived."
-In 600AD, after Zombor, Robo says: "Please to meet you" to the Knight Captain. Should be "Pleased to meet you."
-In 600AD, a Young Woman in Dorino Inn says: A sword called "Masmune" was made ages ago. -- should be Masamune.
-In 600AD, a Young woman in (I think San Dorino's) Elder's House: Only the hero can wield it's power -- should be its.
-The Naga Ette bromide room battle in Manoria Cathedral could use some pre-battle party repositioning if that's possible. My characters got stacked in very close proximity, but maybe the game always did that anyway.
-Lucca's Zonker-38 attack effect gfx may be messed up. She seems to shoot arrows with it.
-In Heckran Cave, the Djinn/Octoblush battle plays boss battle music -- is that intended?
-In Heckran Cave, I was able to actually bypass the Heckran battle by hugging a wall as I walked up to Heckran IIRC. Heckran gave his defeat dialogue and self-destructed on the spot. However, I fought Heckran normally after loading up a savegame, so I'm not sure whether it's random or if it's the way I walked up to him the first time around.
-You-know-who guarding the Magic Cave doesn't seem to have any dialogue...though maybe he's not supposed to be there at all when you're first able to access the Magic Cave.
-The Broken Hilt doesn't disappear graphically from Frog's floor when you acquire it, though it does get put into inventory correctly.
-Finally, there doesn't seem to be any battle music in Guardia Forest. However, I actually really, really liked fighting enemies and still having the peaceful forest theme going on for some reason.

Azure:
-Two weapons called "Platinum" inthe future in the first lab. (Lab 16 I think)  One a bow and ones a sword for Crono.
-Chest at end of sewer does not work.  Looked with TF and I think you may have put the chest location off, maybe the "Thunder" is supposed to be there?
-If wrong password is inputed in the factory ruins the game will lock up.  To clarify, the first time it asks for XABY, the second time works fine.
-Game freezes after Heckran Cave on Snes9x and Zsnes.
-Gate opening is off when going from end of time to guardia forest 1000 AF
-Slot machine says I have no silver points once I hit 512.
-Bosses sprite at Magic Cave there early and non responsive.  By early I mean, there before it should be.
-Broken Masamune blade cannot be obtained at the top of the mountain after Masa Mune fight.
-Tata cannot be found to retrieve the Heroes medal after Masa Mune fight.
-Solidity issue with Mechloirs downstairs stairs.
-Magic Cave Boss Glitch still there.  (Where if you fight him, then leave the cave, he reappears and you're unable to fight him or re-enter the cave.)
-Exits for Enhasa are broken, don't enter without editing the entrances or you'll be stuck.  Also~!  The secret room is broken.  When the Nu's die, glitched flower pots appear, and the room has a solidity issue, and, when you leave the room, you get stuck in a wall.
-A chest in Kajar doesn't have an open sprite once the chest is open.
-In the upper room in Kajara the right most stairs lead to a broken exit.  As well as in the main room, the right exit leads to the same screen.
-The top corner of Scahala's room some how teleports you to just after the first Lavos battle where Crono dies.
-The new room in Algetty has some issues with layers as well as some solidity issues.
-On Mt. Woe, the new effect limits visibility in battle, maybe finding a way to have it fade in battle would be good?
-There's an empty cheset under one of the Rubbles.
-Cannot open game menu in last village hut (the one your group wakes up in.)
-Crono Clone unobtainable, the scene between the party and Crono's mom happens, but you can't get the clone.  Only obtainable if you leave Crono's room, then go back up the stairs and press "a" on the clone.
-Solidity issue in Labura ruins after rescuing Crono.
-Slash sprite stays in the fight after he's been defeated in Ozzie's castle.
-The boss in the Azure Pyramid Maze is avoidable.
-Description for OzziePants is "The're soiled..."  Should be "They're soiled..."
-In 600 AF, Truce market merchant says "If the Hero is triumhant", should be triumphant.
-During Ioka Village party, Robo tells Lucca "That depends on what you definition of love is." Should be your.
-During Masamune repair scene, Melchior says "Then, a spell must be cast to seal the weild." Did you mean wield? Or weld? I would just use bond or fusion.
(I'm going to go ahead and assume that the reason Zeal is messed up is because you were planning to expand it, but reverted the maps for this release without fixing everything.)

The chests in Truce Canyon don't work.

The exits in Melchior's house are broken.  You won't be able to progress any further at all unless you fix them in TF yourself for now.

The Vortex Jump in Heckran Cave is busted.  You take it, and the game freezes with black screen of death.

will post more as I find them

Well, due to Justin3009's discovery of a game freezing bug, I am putting my test play on hold until it is resolved.

Out of curiosity, which emulator is everyone playing on? I'm only just starting today, but the Heckran Cave whirlpool glitch sounds reminiscent of the Prophet's Guile Ocean Palace glitch that happened in SNES9x.

It would probably be best if at least one person tried this out on SNES9x just to see if game-stopping glitches happen in both emulators. I'll do that if nobody else has tried on SNES9x yet.

I'm currently running on ZSNES, but if you would like to run SNES9x that'd be great.

Update:

It freezes on Snes9x as well, just not at the black screen, it allows you to see a lovely view of the world map, accompanied by a vortex that you should pop out of, but don't...  Sorry beta testers out there, stay tuned for Z's fix.

Sorry eveyone for the tripple post.  To the beta testers:  If you want to continue, use TF to make a new exit from heckran cave to the over world.

If you are unsure of how to do this, let me know and I'll see what I can do for ya.

Assuming there are no triggers activated by the vortex, that should work fine. Thanks for thinking of that Azure :) I will continue my play through for now.

-In the circus tent to the right of Gato, there is an Atom Edge in a "chest" and an exit to the Tyranno Lair.
-During the trial, the Chancellor tells Crono to "Step forwards" .

I don't think these have been mentioned yet:

#1. Crono's House - Treasure chest (Got one Ether!) Exclamation is too far out.
#2. Truce Mayor's Manor - just like #1, but with a Got One Tonic    !  Message
#3. Norstein Bekkler says "Welcome to my labratory!" Should be spelled, "laboratory."

Boy did I appreciate that Atom Edge! :D
However, the game will freeze if you go all the way in that tent due to Ayla's absence during the Azala scene, presumably.

To be honest, I've seen a lot of places where the ! is too far over, especially after battles.  Thanks for the bugs :)

I'm not sure what causes it, but it's on every single item.  The longer item names don't show it as much because..well it's taking up most of the space.

More sad news for beta testers;

-Broken Masamune blade cannot be obtained at the top of the mountain after Masa Mune fight.
-Tata cannot be found to retrieve the Heroes medal after Masa Mune fight.

(It may also be that I'm just missing something in order to continue the story, but I'm pretty sure its bad coding somewhere)

This is comparatively minor, but there's a bit of a glitch with Fritz still appearing and running away after you try to return to 1000AD after getting to 2300AD via the Bangor Dome gate.

Does it matter that the command order in the events tab of TF is trying to give you the Broken Edge and check off a story flag BEFORE displaying the message "Obtained Broken Masamune"?

As far as the Heckran Cave goes, I notice only one area with any difference in code between this release and the last release, the code has something to do with making the "bat squeak sound" and moving the party around; I can't really read the code, so I have no idea if this difference matters at all.

To continue in the story do the following with TF;

Move the following below command 0596 on the location map 097 (Denadaro Cave of the Masamune)
05A3 Textbox Obtained broken masamune sword
059B item(Add {BrokenEdge})

I didn't copy paste the words, so just look for the numbers.  Questions?  Feel free to ask!!

(Thanks DK for pointing me in the right direction!)

Also, when you go to get the second half from Frog, the sprite doesn't dissappear without moding the code in TF, but, check your inventroy, and you should have the BrokenHilt item.  If not, please report that here so we can see whats up.

Hey Beta Testers!

If you recal from the last beta, the boss at the magic cave glitch. (Avoiding names to avoid possible spoilers)  Well, the glitch is after you fight it and go inside the cave, if you leave magic cave, he reappears, and you're unable to fight him, so, unless you saved before fighting him, you're stuck (Unless you edit a new way to magus' castle with TF)

If you do the 1000 AD portal thing after being chased, go to 2300 AD, and come back with Fritz rescued, it'll keep replaying him disguised and running back to town.

Would it theoretically be possible to get by the broken exits with a walk-through-walls code, or is it just that the exits aren't enabled at all?

I've been finding mostly minor spelling errors and stuff that I'll list later, but wanted to mention that Melchior's refrigerator takes you to the basement of his house.

The broken exits are usually horribly misplaced.  I really have no idea why that would even happen.  So it could work, but I doubt it.

For broken exits I've just been going into TF and changing their locations.  The exits are there, they are just in the wrong place for some reason, can't give a good reason right now though.

Melchior's exists were the strangest...They were there but the exit to go downstairs was on the fridge, while the one to leave was wayyy to far down from the door.

Just wanted to throw this in in case Azure forgets:

Azure has told me he cannot finish the Sun Stone quest. When he went to the Sun Palace, nothing happened, and somehow the Mayor already had the Sun Stone. Azure was then able to acquire the stone, but do nothing with it (cannot place it to charge it). I am assuming this is because no triggers were activated informing the game that Azure already had the stone.

Sorry if you already resolved this or something Azure, I just wanted it up there in case Z pops in sometime soon.

Sadly I won't be able to do a full playthrough for some time, but here's what I've got so far -- mostly script nitpicks, but without further ado:

Script Nitpicks
*Recurrent problems with exclamation point distance in item acquisition messages.

*In Guardia Castle, 600AD, in one of the early events there, somebody says "Becareful..." Not sure which NPC it was now, but presumably someone encountered prior to speaking with disguised Marle.

*In Guardia Castle, 600AD, disguised Marle uses the words "atlast"; and "servents." Should be at last and servants.

*In Guardia Castle, 600AD, Lucca says "We don'tdon't want..."

*Manoria Cathedral, 600AD: One of the nuns uses the phrase "...tear eachother apart..." The words "each" and "other" need to be separated.

*I think when you step out of the Millennial Fair gate after the Manoria Cathedral quest Lucca says "I'd love too..." It should be I'd love to...

*Just after getting to 2300AD (In Bangor dome IIRC) Lucca says "We definately..." Should be "we definitely"

*In 600AD, a Young Woman in Dorino Inn says: A sword called "Masmune" was made ages ago. -- should be Masamune.

*In 600AD, a Young woman in (I think San Dorino's) Elder's House: Only the hero can wield it's power -- should be its.

Glitches
*The Naga Ette bromide room battle in Manoria Cathedral could use some pre-battle party repositioning if that's possible. My characters got stacked in very close proximity, but maybe the game always did that anyway.

*Lucca's Zonker-38 attack effect gfx may be messed up. She seems to shoot arrows with it.

So, I've beaten the game now, the only thing I didn't do was the sun stone, because for some reason I couldn't...  I beat the black omen, no issues there as far as I saw, and Lavos has been struck down. (By the way, I like what you changed there, pretty cool.)

All in all, aside from what has already been posted, I have found no bugs, so hopefully this means 1.1 should be out by Feb..  But don't take my word for it.

I'm just guessing the time it will take Zakyrus to fix what ever is wrong, as I haven't talked to him personally about it yet.

Z had a week as the estimate, but a few more problems then originally expected were found. Mainly Azure and I don't want anyone to be expecting the release in a week for SURE, just that a week is possible; it is more reasonable to expect a few weeks, seeing as how Z has a life, and Azure and I can't read the code well enough to fix the issues (minus the Masamune, but that was luck more then anything :)).

Anyway, here are the bugs I found in 600 AF during the Masamune/Hero's Medal quest:

-The sentries at the entrance to Castle Guardia have dialogue issues: first sentry has the comma misplaced, should be after cornered, not Hero; second sentry's ending period has a space between it and the last word.

-The soldier at the stairs going down to the barracks has no title, such as Soldier or Sentry, just his text box.

-When you get the jerky rations, there is a huge space between Jerky and rations.

-Robo says to Aquire the Masamune. Should be Acquire.

-Frog, after you get the Masamune hilt, says "No one can reforge tha Masamune". Should be the.

Bah, I will likely have to wait until 1.1 for testing. I moved to a place with no internet, and I'm sure Z can sympathize with it being difficult to download things.

But I will get it! I will, even if I have to ride the bus to a relative's house.

Also, FaustWolf, about the Zonker shooting arrows: I remember seeing this somewhere before, although I don't remember if it was an earlier build of CT+ or vanilla CT. I assumed they were tranquilizer darts. It seemed logical.

Ah, okay, that would make sense for the Zonker then.

Z, if you want I can go through and fix the dialogue mistakes as I go, and send you the fixed version. If you don't need me to though that's fine.

Thanks for all the posts everyone...

What appears to have happened is some of the exports didn't save correctly for some strange reason...when I exported them from the development version. When I imported them into the Beta test, all kinds of problems would come up.

Such as treasure, exits, Events, etc. etc.

It's a little late, but the Heckran Caverns/OW freeze can be easily fixed by exporting "{0} OW Events" from a fresh ROM and importing them into CT+

Z, if you want I can go through and fix the dialogue mistakes as I go, and send you the fixed version. If you don't need me to though that's fine.

Oh god, no. The version I'm going to release soon is vastly improved from what you guys have now.
Other than typos, the event files are radically different. Yeah. I don't have it done, but you guys have given me a lot of things to fix that I didn't see (in either event version). It will be revealed, in time, all in time...  8)

Yep. That's quantum probability for ya.

Aw. You didn't get both the Sun Stone and an extra Moon Stone by altering time then?

Is that it for posts? I have most of the bugs removed so we are getting closer to that last and final test 1.09 before the 1.1 release. The only thing taking so long is that the puzzles are being a pain to code. Other than that, this hack is just awesome -- if I do say so myself.

Well, stay tuned!

Hey, I don't want to sound like a nag but, uh, it's been a month? What happened? Status update? I was really looking forward to this and you had made it sound like it was fairly close to completion.

Patience. When you see why it's taking some time, you'll understand.   :D

But, yeah, I can understand where you're coming from. I'll try to have some kind of update soon. Maybe later tonight, if all goes well.

1.85 bug report:

In intro sequence, forgot to put "of" between "billions" and "galaxies".
In the new part of the millenial fair (southern section), there are some graphic issues (random fencing and flags).
Gargoyle cycles through all the ranks, instead of just saying what yours is (maybe only happens at lowest ranking, don't know for sure yet).

Will update as I find more.

Just to clear the above post up;  The new beta has been released to a select few.  Those who are able to recieve this beta have already been contacted.  As upsetting as it is that we cannot share this release with the public either, it is also promising as it means we are getting close to our next full public release.

Yep. The next test version will be out soon. Then, if all goes well...release!

Other than the things I've mentioned, of course.

CT+ 1.085

Valley of Giants/Searing Chasm

Bugs:
- Can enter first time without Ayla present
- Impossible to leave Searing Chasm Dungeon once you enter (quest mem pointers just aren't there yet)
- Boss and cutscenes are non-existent.

Just putting this here so that no-one else reports it.

Hey folks, long time lurker/first time poster.

I registered just to shout out a ginormous THANK YOU to Zakyrus for all of his hard work in to this amazing project. I played the old demo some time ago and was flat out blown away by how much you squeezed in to the original game. It's hard to improve upon nigh-perfection, but you've done it.

Looking forward to the public demo release (once these bugs you speak of are ironed out) so I can once again enjoy one of my two favorite games ever made in a new light.

Thanks again Zakyrus! It's great to see you put passion in to the game rivaling that of the entire Dream Team.

I covered this numerous times already, but when one person directly addresses another, there is a comma before that person's name.  For example:  "Hello, Crono!"  There is a comma after hello because you are directly addressing Crono.  Aside from being grammatically correct, it is also for clarity.  For instance, the phrase, "I don't know Robo."  As it is, it means that you are not an acquaintance of Robo.  With a comma, it means you are telling Robo that you don't know.
Similarly, there is always a comma after introductions like hey or hello.  Like, "Hey, what are you doing tomorrow?"
I have corrected these a few times, but no longer will, as it requires a lot of typing to clarify where it goes and this list would be too big.

Style preference:
Instead of using a(n), which seems awkward, just do, "Received (item)."
I don't like that Crono talks at all.  It destroys all of the subtlety.
Why does Crono's mother keep calling him "son?"  This seems unusual, but it may just be me.
That Marle is actually the princess is given away too early and it made painfully obvious instead of subtle.
It alternates between alright and all right.  Pick one.

Item:
Should it be Titanium or Titananium?

Intro:
"granduer" should be grandeur
"unwakable" should be unwakeable
"story of but many lives"  the word but is unnecessary
"greatly manifest" "greatly appear?"  doesn't make sense
"When you can give yourself in the place of others.  Your power..." Should be a comma, not a period
"The next thing I know I'm at..." should be a comma after know
"...particularly for those whom have..." should be who
"...knowing the real nature of existance" should be existence
"Then and only then, will you truly know."  There should be a comma after then or no commas at all
"Very good, my student you..." Should be a comma after student.
"Always remember, that..." No comma.

Chapter 1:
"I want you to behave yourself today, okay Crono?"  comma after okay.
"I swear Crono..." Comma after swear
"Sorry dear" Comma after sorry
"Stay otta' there..." presumably should be outta - for both oven and fridge

House above Crono's:  "The King's daughter, Princess Nadia is hard..." Comma after Nadia.

Northwest Residence: "food-stuffs" should be foodstuffs.  "Handi-work" should be handiwork.  "Hey there" should have a comma after hey.

Mayor's house:  "...window up or down, it works..." Comma should be a semicolon.  "You can Use 'shelters' at Save Points, or..." lowercase on use, no comma.  "In these situations your guard is down, and you'll..."  Comma after situations, not down.

Ferry: 'Ticket-master" should be ticketmaster

Lucca's house:  "Oh, hi Crono."  Comma after hi.  Talking to her freezes game.

Porre Inn:  Talking to innkeeper (and saying no) freezes game.  "Costumers" should be customers.  "Inn-keeper" should be innkeeper.  Girl disappears when you sleep, but reappears when you re-enter the building (not sure if this is a bug).

Porre market:  "Welcome, there young'uns."  Comma should be after there, not welcome.  Should be Jeweler and jewelry.  Diamonds should not be capitalized.

South-most Porre residence:  "were" should be we're.  Either commas before like or no commas.

Millenial Fair:
Old Carnie, should be a comma after welcome and well, before sonny.  "Upto" should be up to.
Little girl:  Should be morning, not mourning.  Young woman next to Melchior:  Lot's should be lots.
   Cook:  "Rotton" should be rotten.
Cat food salesman:  "Alot" should be a lot.
   Jeweler: "thar" should be that.
Silver points trader:  Silver points are not taken away - free DarkSaber!
Warp area:  "Facotry" should be factory.  Gato is buggy.
Bitter Old Woman by steps:  "Valueable" should be valuable.
Marle:  Pendant should not be capitalized.  "Armour" should be armor - unless it's European.  The "he might be the man of my dreams" thing is unnecessary.
Old Man (Lunch guy):  "Sorry sonny..." should have comma.
Taban:  "Quantum Physics" doesn't need to be capitalized.  Pendant is capitalized sometimes, and sometimes is not.
Lucca:  "...so hang on to it Crono" should be a comma after it.

Chapter 2: The Queen Returns:
Blue Imp:  "Sacrad" should be sacred.
Crono:  "Amatuers" should be amateurs.  This also seems completely out of character and unnecessary.
Market:  The part about him being a foreigner should maybe be a one-time thing.  It takes too long to get through it every time.
Castle:  Upon first entry, everyone says Crono saved Queen Leene.  "Leene" just calls him a friend.  why do they think he rescued her?

chapter 3: The Queen is Gone:
Guard outside of Leene's room:  Weird ellipses points.
   Lucca:  "effects" should be affects.
That the Chancellor is secretly Yakra is another instance where subtlety is lost, especially when he all but says it.
Chapel:
Lucca:  "Oh, We're..." We're should not be capitalized.  Completely out of character and doesn't fit context.  She seems gangsta, and not surprised at all.
Frog:  "Jaded" means exhausted.  Not green.
Inner Chapel:
Naga-ette:  "...caught snooping around, look..." No comma.
Note on hidden door:  "The are..." should be there
Frog before fighting Yakra:  "Honour" should be honor.  "Alot" should be a lot.  "En-guard" should be en garde.
Yakra:  ...your bloody carcasses, most particularly, YOURS Frog!" should be "...your bloody carcasses.  Most particularly YOURS, Frog!"
Frog: "(Combine Techs!)"  Some things should be left for the player to discover and not be thrust upon them.  "Whomever" should be whoever.  No comma after Magus.  "immorals" should be immorality.
Leene:  ...rescue me, expecially you, Frog."  Should be "...rescue me.  Especially you, Frog."
If you speak to the Chancellor after he's been released, his name shows up as ????? again.
Castle:
Lower-right knight in resting area:  "Blashphemous" should be blasphemous.
Gate:
Lucca: "Anamoly" should be anomaly.  "Principal" should be principle.

Chapter 4:  Back in Time
Lucca's home:  "oblitterated" should be obliterated.

chapter 5:  The Trial
Court: "Attourney" should be attorney.  "Trecherous" should be treacherous; comma error.
Again, I don't think Crono should communicate.  It really talks down to the player.
Executioner:  "atleast" should be two words.
Another qualm with subtlety:  The implication that the guards are inhuman by the Omicron (sp?)
Guards in room before guillotine respawned - not sure what the trigger for this was.
Chancellor (on way out):  "Sieze" should be seize.

Chapter 6:  The Ruined World
Marle:    "Ok Lucca" Should be "Okay, Lucca" -- Okay was used previously, I am going by that standard.
Marle mentions another dome to the south.  How does she know which direction south is?
   Lucca: "Atleast" Two words.
In area right of food storage, second room, there is a bright purple Bugger.
Lucca (after viewing Day of Lavos):  "Existance" should be existence.
Mirages worth 125 exp each with 5000 HP, mutants worth 250 each with ~1300 HP.  Mirages tend to deal about twice as much damage as well.  This seems unbalanced, unless I am unaware of a weakness the Mirages have.
Marle, at Robo: "Johhny" should be Johnny.
Robo:  "Teraflops per millisecond"  FLOPS are FLoating point Operations Per Second.  Remove "per millisecond"  Teraflops should not be capitalized, nor should terabyte or memory.  In addition, the current record is 1.64 petaflops, which is 1640 teraflops.  Maybe increase this number by a few orders of magnitude?

Chapter 7:  The Robotics Factory
Robo, after fighting surprise enemy:  "You're" should be your.
   "Maintainance Bot" should be maintenance.
Robo, after holding door open:  "Recieve" should be receive.
Lucca, after repairing Robo:  "Alot" should be a lot.

Chapter 8:  The End of Time
Lucca:  "We're from the Millennium.  Kingdom of Guardia, circa 1000 A.F."  The "circa 1000 A.F." is completely unnecessary.  Firstly because she already said they were from the Millennium.  Secondly because circa means about - they are from exactly 1000, not about 1000.

Chapter 9:  The Village of Mystics
Bookshelf in Ozzie's house:  'Medina's History" history should not be capitalized.
Mystic upstairs in Ozzie's house:  "...will find it a trite difficult..."  Trite means hackneyed or overused.   You mean a mite.
Blue imp in forest before pyramid:  "Sacrad" should be sacred.
Melchior:  "(Or in the past.)" and Crono's response are both unnecessary.  Firstly because Melchior has no reason to believe that they will meet again in the past, or that they are capable at all of time travel.  Secondly, because Crono can't read thoughts.
"Rare Red Rock" book in Melchior's:  "Dreamstone is a rare mineral, it..."  Comma should be a semicolon.  "It is capable for..." for should be of.  "Capabale" should be capable.  "Spirtual" should be spiritual.
"Indestructable Ore" book in Melchior's:  If the entire thing is written in undecipherable symbols, why is the title legible?
Worshipping henchmen in Heckran's Cave:  "Honours" should be honors.
Second set of worshippers:  "Holy" doesn't need to be capitalized.
Aaand, I can't go any farther because when I leave the area the second set of worshippers are through any of the lower exits, the game freezes and the screen turns purple.
