The Zeal Plant Woman asks the party whether or not to comply with Queen Zeal's order to burn a Seed given to her by Melchior, the Guru of Life. It was said to have magical powers that could cure the environment someday. After Zeal falls, she appears in the Last Village commons, where she repeats the question, though now she holds that Gaspar, the Guru of Time gave it to her. Instructing her to plant it will open up the Fiona's Forest Sidequest. Interestingly, the woman notes that if she were to be reincarnated, she would like to live in a land full of green forests. She is probably Fiona's ancestor, as Fiona remarked that her family had held a seed for generations. This detail was omitted from the North American version of the game.
