Ozzie VIII is the descendant of the Ozzie of yore, and uses this "prestige" to boss around other members of town to clean up the elder's house. In a twist, Crono's defeating Ozzie at Ozzie's Fort changed history so that the blue beast of the future was the one cleaning house.
In the Chrono Trigger Prerelease, he was Ozzie XIII.
