The Giant's Claw is an island off the coast of Choras in 600 A.D. It houses the entire Tyrano Lair complex, perfectly preserved from 65000000 B.C., including monsters, aged treasures, and the Rainbow Shell -- suggesting that the Reptites originally owned it. Toma knew of the shell's location but could not reach it. Crono and his party were more successful, though they had to battle the Rust Tyrano -- apparently, the BlackTyrano survived in some form, or was a mechanical creation originally. The Rainbow Shell lies in the deepest cavern of the Giant's Claw; the caves were soon visited by a troop of knights from the Kingdom of Guardia to retrieve the artifact and hold it in Guardia Castle. By 1000 A.D., the Claw had returned to the ocean floor.
