Name Origin[edit]
The names Vicks and Wedge come from the Star Wars movies, in which two pilots of the same name fight for the Rebel Alliance. A third, Piette, is also used with these two in many Square games as a running joke. Vicks, however, is the result of a mistranslation from Japanese; the intended name is Biggs. These two appear in several Square games. Supposedly a V-Jump article (which has not been scanned) explained that they found their way into the world of Chrono Trigger after appearing in Final Fantasy VI; Norstein Bekkler gave them jobs at the fair. Piette is derived from Admiral Piett, as seen in the movie 'The Empire Strikes Back.'
