Explanation of Monsters (Chrono Trigger) Stats

General Information[edit]

Each monster entry will contain these stats:

HP

How many hit points a monster has. Maximum limit is 32767.

Attack

The attack power of the monster. Maximum is 255.

Defense

The physical defense of the monster. Maximum is 255, and normal is 127.

Magic

The magic power of the monster. Maximum is 255.

Magic Defense

The magic defense of the monster. Maximum is 100, and normal is 50.

Speed

The speed of the enemy's turns. Maximum is 16 or 24.

Evade

The percentage of times the enemy will evade the party's attacks. Maximum is 100%.

Hit

The percentage of times an enemy will hit the party when using physical attacks. Some attacks are exempt. Maximum is 100%.

TP

Tech points awarded at the end of battle.

Exp

Experience points awarded at the end of battle.

Gold

Gold awarded at the end of battle.

Absorbs

Types of magic absorbed by the enemy. Using a Fire spell on a Fire absorbant monster will give the monster hit points.

Cancels

Types of magic absorbed by the enemy. Using a Fire spell on a Fire cancelling monster would result in 0 damage.

Weakness

Types of magic the enemy is weak to. Damage is increased when compared to other types of magic.
