Before the events of Chrono Trigger, a man with a woman and child ventured into the lower areas of the Arris Dome to find food. Apparently he was forced into a battle with Guardian, and perished after successfully making it into the food room. However, the food was all spoiled; fortunately, he found a Seed there, taken by Crono when he found the man in turn.
