Don't make the same post over... We already have one topic going about the pendant >.<

This just gets confusing. But ill add some of my opinion anyway, which is in the other topic anyway.

1. Marle and Schala's pendant is of the same origin, but from different time lines. Marles is one that went though the whole Lavos Timeline yup to the Telepod and there it was triggered by the Entity. Marles pendent HAS NO POWER IN IT!

2. Schala's pendant is Marle's pendant in the Lavos Timeline, but in 12,000BC her pendant is fully charged. In Crono's time line, Schala's pendants last powers are used to teleport the gang out of the Ocean Palace, whilst in the Lavos time line should have been used to teleport herself out.
My theory goes on to believe that as Schala was sucked into the mammon machine, her pendant was recharged and then she ended up in the DBT, waiting for Lavos. When the time came, she was in the process of fusing with him. He was putting his negative thoughts into her. To keep her sanity, she used some of her pendants powers to clone herself and send Kid out through time, close enough to 1000AD. With Kid, the pendant came, but it was still charged, having the power to turn back time a little if Kid was in a life threatening situation.

3.Kid seems to have two pendants. The Astral Amulet, thought to be a pendant with the incomplete time egg. Since I don't believe that there is a wooden Schala's Amulet, I believe that the Astral Amulet is wooden, and that there was a translation error. This Astral Amulet allows Serge and crew to travel between Dimensions.
Whilst the pendant that Kid may have somewhere on her, unseeable or it being the pendant on her neck, but with extra shells for decoration on it; this pendant was Schala's, but was sent with Kid through time. It safeguard's Kid so if she is in a life-death situation, she will be transported into the immediate past.

My hand hurts now..

The thing that's always bugged me about Kid's pendant is this "rewind time a little" deal.  What exactly does this mean?  It doesn't really make much sense to me unless I'm missing something obvious.

It seems like it would create and endless loop:  Kid dies, time rewinds and she's back alive, but then 5 minutes later she dies again, but then time rewinds again, and so on...

Am I missing something obvious here?

Not something obvious, but something.

The moment she's about to killed (Not the moment when she does get killed, though) it sends her back into a safer moment, and then replaces her with the dead Kid.

What if it rewinds her and time, so that she ends up in a future time after she's supposed to die? Does that make sense?

Then she'd still know if she was stabbed. I'm going with Legend of the Past's idea.

I was thinking on the lines that: Kid gets stabbed by Dark Serge. Pendant activates. Like a mini pocket dimension keeps her in it for a while, then throws her out into the present. So when she comes back, she was never stabbed nor remembers Dark Serge stabbing her.

Time goes as planned, but the real her isn't there

|....................................................\
|  Appears after she was stabbed........\ Enters pocket dimension
|   ..................................................
| ..................................................../
Stabed ===>Sent back in time......./

Lil crazy diagram. Start at her being stabbed, then go around Oo. Forget the dots, I had to use them, otherwise the pointers( /,\,==) would be out of place.

Thoughts?

lol your diagram looks like out of place for me, because I understood nothing, I never understood the pendant saving Kid, does it stated anywhere that it actually rewind time? maybe it's some wierd way to get the Non-stabbed Kid and throw her in the future then she wouldn't know that she's get stabbed + she wouldn't have any wounds and it would be like if the pendant had rewind time, no?

Lucca in Opassa Beach mentions it.

Quote from: Lucca Ashtear

Schala left her baby daughter-clone with her ancient pendant, possessing magical powers. This was to safeguard her daughter-clone in life-and-death situations. The pendant would rewind time a little, sending her daughter-clone into a safer point in the immediate past. That's right... Kid is Schala's daughter-clone!

I just say it sent her to back to the past (A pocket dimension, like Zaperking suggested, is a far more comfortable idea. Though the amount of power needed for that are probably insane! I wander if the Pendent has that much power), and when the coast was clear, sent her back into the present.

I don't see why rewinding the time would help she would jeust get killed all over again -_-, the pocket dimension maybe seems right but like you mentionned it takes alot of power and it isn,t so much like traveling in the past... seems wierd to me

Well, it's in the context of the game, so you can't really argue with that. (Or expect to win, anyway)

With my pocket dimensions idea, couldn't it be Lavos's pocket dimension, since the pendant is full of Lavos' energy. Lavos dissapeared from his dimension, but it doesn't mean the pocket dimension dissapeared with him. I believe that once a dimension is open, it stays there.

Possible, but I think that if we're talking about Lavos' energy, it's more logical that a whole new Pocket Dimension is formed. Kind of like Lavos', except Kid gets sent there for short periods of time when she's in danger.

Only one thing is allowed to exist in one timeline.  This being said, Marle and Kid's pendants are mere copies of Schala's.  Only to a certain extent is this true though.  When Crono touched the pendant when the game first started, that caused something that upset this rule, making Schala as well as Marle's pendant exist in the same time, when they were brought together in Zeal.

Not so much as breaking a rule of time, more like a rule of logic. He brought something from the future to a timeline where there was that exact same thing. Kind of like when you went back in time to save Crono with the first Time Egg, and if you had Janus in your party, there were Two Janus'.
