Well here there a re two theory fighting right now
1- Kino came from the gate in Mystic Mountain and Ayla found him
2-Kino didn't came from the gate by ws there for some reason
here's the major point we were fighting on :
Kino could come from the gate because the fall would have killed him

We don't know who found Kino in the mountain, we don't know who is the chief it could be Ayla or it could HAVE BEEN someone else.
but he mention chief the same way in both sentence so it must be likely that Ayal is the chief he's talking about.
I don't have any clue how old is Ayla but she must be atleash 10 years + than Kino, if we knew her gae maybe we could know how old approx. was Kino

Also, we don't know if Kino popped out naked or if he had a cradle or some clothes that would protect him.
Well we know he didn't die so maybe that's why but it could be something too fancy or else it would have be noticeabl and the people would have talk about it, but good point there
