Well... that was a little anti-climatic. After talking to ATT and making it clear that we had no intention of paying for internet for the 16 days that we wouldn't have it between our move in and the actual start of service, they arranged to have us connected today. So... um... hi. I am sure you all greatly missed me over the last few days
The trip itself was more adventurous than I would have liked. We had help flying in, except that their flight was delayed and eventually canceled. That delayed us about 5 very panicked hours on Sunday. But that wasn't all. We were towing a car, and the person who hooked it up did it about as wrong as is humanly possible. We got it fixed on Monday, after being delayed an extra 5 hours and after having our car damaged from the individual's misinformation. Also, on Monday, our other car (a little blue Honda Fit that is "bigger on the inside") got hit by a truck tire that just blew off its vehicle. It needs repairs. Tuesday, a random person on the street threatened to kill one of our drivers. We still aren't sure why. Wednesday, I went to return the moving truck and towing dolly. I fueled up first, and the gas station had all these arrows directing me to the exit... through a carwash that the truck had no hope of fitting through. Backing up with a tow dolly is not exactly easy. All in all, far more exciting than I would have preferred. But we are here now, it seems nice enough, and we can finally focus on unpacking, finding me a job, and writing freelance articles.
@ Tush and Saj: Would this be DT's Dr. Who accent or his natural, dreamy, Scottish accent?
@ Josh, the answer to your question is San Diddy D.
