Crimson Echoes Task Schedule
« on: July 06, 2005, 05:32:59 pm »
Next on the task list:

PLOT / PLANNING

-Resolve the Plot (Jake & Hadriel can meet & work on this)

GAME DEVELOPMENT

-Fix the demo and release v1.1
-Create Chronopolis
For Chronopolis, we will first need an idea of how many rooms we will use.  Once we have that, we can come up with a basic design for the rooms and begin to design the accessible areas.
-Magus's Story

(This is Jake asking: Are we able to edit the tilesets for 2300 AD?  If so, this is likely the best way to start on Chronopolis' tileset.  One of CT's endings showed Leene Square 2300 AD briefly, with Nadia's Bell...it used the same tileset as the "bad" future, but I think it should look a little brighter, more cheery, perhaps with a very slight futuristic-blue tint to the tiles.)

SIDE PROJECTS

-Coliseum
-Bisqwit's tools
-Break down the 35-page "Crimson Echoes" thread into smaller, more usable forms of data.  (Jake and ZeaLitY are working to establish a private wiki for Dream Team members so that we can more easily organize all data for plot, characters and locations.)

3. See if we can secure .spc transplanting

What exactly does that mean. I have limited knowledge of ROMS and ROM hacks and stuff like that...

It means soliciting help from someone at ACMLMs, Tek Hacks, or otherwise that can take an .spc from Radical Dreamers, FF6 etc. and put it in Chrono Trigger.

Or more basic, take music from one game to put it into Crimson Echoes.

4. Decide what to do with the Sealed Pyramid

For my 2 cents on this, I say let the forest grow over it and it's just not there anymore.  If it was opened up in 1000 AD and the spell was broken, then by 2 years later, it's probably overgrown...not to mention useless.  Course it should still be there in 602 AD, just inaccessible as in 600 AD.

The world is finished. Now, only the hardest items remain. Work shall now begin on the Vanguard Post.

a forest can't grow in 2 years; maybe there could be some ivy on it or something, but not completely covered in trees

OK, maybe I phrased that wrong, but it should be overgrown.  Besides, there's probably not a point in having it there, and why waste map space?  Unless we're planning for 1002 AD's version to be the one that contains the dungeon below.

Yes, I suppose it will be hard to remodel it on TF. In fact, on speaking of that, does any1 really actually know how to do it? Im pretty sure Geiger and Chickenlump have cracked it though. But the Event Code must be hard to do, considering the Title Screen is completely different from the rest of the rooms and Event Coding for them.

But yeah, i know i'll be very shocked, and amazed! Good luck with it ZeaLitY!!

Some screenshots of my progress prior to the Vanguard are available at

Now, on to the next big thing -- the Cathedral. After that, and the Guardia Cutscene, it'll be tying up loose ends and beta testing from here on out.

I suppose so, but I'll explain all the instructions for it later. Everyone's going to be told to play the heck out of it and explore everything, and then report all bugs or complaints.
