If you ever met Masato Kato, what would you ask him ?

Just a weird thought I got. I'm going to Japan next month, and wondered what I would ask him if I ever met him. It's ridiculously impossible (just thinking about how bad my oral japanese is), but just for fun.  :wink:

The question that comes to mind to most is probably : Would you like to make Chrono Break ?

However, with all the plot holes in Chrono Cross, I figured I would ask him :

-What happened to Crono, Marle and Lucca in the timeline of Chrono Trigger ?

First one, most likely. I'd also probably ask him, for one, what he thinks of Zipp's little number, and then if he would shamelessly steal it from him.

Those are unexplained points, though, not plot holes.

I'd ask him about his job and what inspires his work. Also what his current level of interest in the Chrono series is.

I'd ask him the directions to wherever he kept all his notes on Chrono Break. Wouldn't that be nice to have in the Materials Requiring Translation archive!

And secondly, what he thinks of the fan reaction to his work. Does he ever get freaked out about the fact that people are talking about him on an Internet forum, for example?  :D

Good one. I doubt he would give his notes like that. I'm sure the guy still has hope, like us.

I'd ask him what his day job is. The man's been averaging about 2 games a year for the last 7 years. There's no way you can live on that.

Why he is no longer working on large-scale, ambitious games, whether he wants to go back to doing so, and if so how he plans on making it happen.

I would ask him what his ideas were for Chrono Break, or a clear explanation of how Chrono Cross ended.  Of the things he wanted to include in Cross but didn't.  Most of all, I would want to know what he thinks of my own ideas for a remake/sequel and how they might mesh with his.  Would we be on the same page or worlds apart?
