Follow the instructions on the machine very meticulously, and ensure you measure the cleaner and water properly.
Don't get annoyed when it comes to how long it is taking for your carpet to dry. Just turn on all of the fans you've got to get the air circulating, and, if you have one, turn on your dehumidifier.
Hot Water Extraction
Sometimes called hot water extraction, this type of cleaning involves spraying a hot water/detergent mix into your carpet, after which a particularly potent vacuum sucks back out the water and dirt sending it into a holding tank. You have the choice of either using a portable unit that is self-contained or employing a larger unit mounted on a truck. For virtually all carpet cleaning roles, this needs to be the only way to go.
