What is the best way in Carpet Cleaning
« on: July 29, 2011, 05:53:00 am »
Follow the instructions on the machine very meticulously, and ensure you measure the cleaner and water properly.
Don't get annoyed when it comes to how long it is taking for your carpet to dry. Just turn on all of the fans you've got to get the air circulating, and, if you have one, turn on your dehumidifier.
Hot Water Extraction
Sometimes called hot water extraction, this type of cleaning involves spraying a hot water/detergent mix into your carpet, after which a particularly potent vacuum sucks back out the water and dirt sending it into a holding tank. You have the choice of either using a portable unit that is self-contained or employing a larger unit mounted on a truck. For virtually all carpet cleaning roles, this needs to be the only way to go.

Thanks for that house-cleaning tip, Miss... er... Messy Floors! Very much appreciated as I sure couldn't find the info on Wikipedia. I volunteered for errands at my friend's house and made sure to follow your step as meticulously as you suggested (I even brought my own Sherlock Holmes-esq magnifying glass), but being to absorbed in staring at the huge words my retina fried and I tripped an the carpet, the vacuum gave way and sucked in half of it, and I tugged hard. There was some detergent mixed into the wet carpet, and I don't know what happened, but a few sucky moments later there was an explosion and my friend's house was on fire. I jumped out the window like James Bond before he could come back home.

I didn't get paid for that, though. Any tips?

Oh no! My evil next-door neighbors broke in last week and spilled cranberry juice on my white carpets, then tried to cover their misdeeds with used oil from the deep fryer. It's soaked in for a whole week! Whatever will we do now?! If only there was someone on the Compendium who specialized in cleaning up messy floors...but surely that would be too much to ask even in this hour of most dire crisis!

Oh, we need a hero... *swoon*

Haha, I can't believe "Nicholasville Carpet Cleaners" somehow resorted to using spammers. Why, fuck! Sure, I'll pay you to drive 1,000 miles out here and clean my carpet!

Sorry Messyfloors. I have my own, internal, carpet cleaning industry, thank you very much! Real warriors don't need outside carpet cleaners.

Hell, most real warriors don't even need carpets, let alone have them.

Like Worf. With all the wine and ale he pours out on the floor from Romulan p'tahk and other vermin who want to make corrupt bargains with him, he eventually realized that space linoleum is the way to go.

I think we ought to have a subforum for the funniest spam threads. xDDD

There seem to be a lot of them that the mods here insist on keeping. :-/
Personally I don't find them funny and would rather see them disappear into the void of old topics, if not just outright deleted.

As always, just my opinion. It IS spam, after all.

My preference is for us to have our fun with them until they get deleted. But, yeah, no point in these threads cluttering up the archive.
