The clones have no weapons, no magic, no skills, their brains would probably be a complete black when their done. What would they do, punch Crono and friends?

You really think Lavos or Queen Zeal were smart enough (Or stupid enough, depends on how you look at it) to use Psycholgical warfare?

Maybe Dalton or some mad Zealian stole the party's DNA when they were defeated by the first Golem. They did got jailed in a same kind of hovering light tube as the ones in the Black Omen, if I recall correctly.

Yeah yeah, but it's close enough... Plus they are real people who didn't want to go in that tube, while the clones are probably just mindless persons (like the Clones in Star Wars).

EDIT: Erf, well it can't be anyway. There were only 3 members who were captured whereas there are 6 clones...

okay i'm throwing this in, tell me if you think it's alright to think this.

In Zea there are no mention at all of cloning or duplicate of someone, but in the black omen you can see yourselves in some light tube, the black omen has a direct link to Lavos (well not really since it's Black Omen -> Mammon Machine --> Lavos but clsoe enough) so maybe these clones were taken from Lavos.

Now maybe they could fight exactly like the gang since Lavos can mimic exactly the fight style using DNA (well in the cas eof the Dragon tanka dn guardian it's soemthing else)

oh and that may explain the lack of CT cast has mimic since they totally powned all those bad dudes

Well that would be both wierd and cool.  Also we don't know if they didn't have weapons nearby or even on them, after all in the Chrono universe weapons just seem to disappear till needed.  :)

Ooh, I just thought of something intresting.

In Magus' Lair, you see Crono's mother, Queen Leene, and whoever else is  most important to the your other member. Now, maybe Magus was using a spell on those servents of his to make them seem like whoever is most important to the person in front of them? If so, it could be an ancient piece of Zeal magic.

Maybe the Queen used something similar?

I think it would be Flea who use that spell since it's his area of the castle and she has an attack that make Crono attack your party members, so it's not like Magsu had it so Zeal msut too, sorry :(

Magus is not only Zealian, but also a son of the Queen. Why shoulden't she have it?

But we don't know if Flea is creating the illusions.  Also Flea could have learned the spell from Magus.

Okay well it's true but see it that way:

When you go to Slash side there is no illusion (but slash don't use amgic in the final release so it's alright).

On flea side there are illusion

Ozzie's path have only traps

I think each room has a personallity going with the guy that lead it

don't forget that Magus is anti-social and he doesn't give a damn about the mystic war why would he train Flea?

and if he did train her he would never use that spell and her mother whould use it seem very wierd for me
