Well, the theory is that Home is the aberration, split off from Another. Another and Home share the same past, but not the same future. Time Travelers can only time travel within their own dimension, along a straight line you could say, and Home splits off at 1010. Therefore, Crono's defeat of Lavos only affects Another World.

So, the whole theory that Serge's existence caused something to happen to Crono or watever is completely wrong because of that?

Yes.  The reason Home World is doomed is because no one from the past can Time Travel to it.  Therefore, the destroyed future still comes to pass there, since Crono's actions are reserved to Another World.

They don't have the same future for a reason the split didn't save one dimension and destroy the other

personally, I would like to see a game made on the future of Home World. Because, consider the events in CC, as time passess, the two dimensions become drastically different from each other (though stay the same in the sense that Lavos still destroys everything), so many diffrent things could happen! Who knows, maybe in 1800 Home World some teenagers find out how to time travel, go back in time before the split and meet up with Crono (or even kill him accidentily). That could make a great storyline for Chrono Break.

Home and Another merge in CC's good ending, due to the effects of the Melody of Life. Plus, the future of Home World gets destoryed, Another's future remains good and well.

Well, I assume that things will be different. But why would it matter? Lavos is going to erupt in 199 years,  so the future is quiet ensured. A new journey is useless, because even if this Lavos dies, the Time Devourer will awaken and have his really big lunch.

this question may sound a bit strange, but plz answer it nonetheless guys:

Did the Lavos we know (the one that destroys the world in 1999), know about the TD and wat it was going to do? If it did, why did it bother to desttroy the world when the TD can rip all time apart instead?

Not sure. First off, the TD does what his name implies: Devours all time. Allow me to bring a quote of our good friend Belthasar:

Quote from: Our good friend Belthasar
:
   The Devourer of Time
   is a new life-form...
Born out of the fusion of a
   life-form from this planet with
Lavos, who nests on the far
   side of the dimensional void.

Belthasar:
   In the far-off future, when
   the fusion becomes complete,
   IT will awaken...

Belthasar:
   Then, the Devourer of Time
   will begin to consume all
   space-time continua...
   Despair and hatred...
   To return all things to
   nothingness...
   That is what IT desires.

Simpley put, Belthasar says that in the far future, the TD will unleash and devour the very fabric of time, sending that moment into the Tesseract. He'll be pushed back to a former point and time, devour that, get pushed back... Until there's nothing left. Then it'll remain, all stuffed and happy, in the middle of nothingness.

There's a debate if the original Lavos knew about this. It's possible Lavos plotted his downfall to "evolve" into his next form. I think otherwise, though. I think that while he was dying in the Tesseract, Schala chanced upon him. A very small amount of energy remained in the pendnet, too small to open a door or chest, even, but enough to draw her closer to Lavos. She then became one with the shell, and after they "devoured" the Dragon God, they became this:

LC, this is an asshole, learn him well. The TD is an obnoxious little thing. Too bad he has a cute girl on his shell, otherwise I woulden't feel guilty everytime I kill him on New Game+.

very interresting. In the last two pics, before i saw the note at the bottem, i really thought that her hair had turned purple again!

P.S: Is it just me, or in the normal gameplay graphics Schala looks WAY much like Kid. I know Kid is Schala's clone but seriously...and Schala looks much younger then she does in CT.
