Yeah, can't wait for it!
I hope two factors give them some protection: 1.) they're not residents of the US or Japan (AFAIK); 2.) it sounds wonky, but I wonder whether it isn't safer to create something based on hundreds of intellectual properties at once than to create something based on only one. The fact that, say, Konami hasn't sent the team a C&D might make SE legal wonder whether they should take the first step when their business competitors have not. This is what I'd like to think, anyway.
Damn, Ahruon and Orkimedes have such a bright future, and I sincerely hope that their work inspires others to keep the art of spriting alive. I hope there's already a dozen companies inquiring about their availability to sprite for them, 'cuz I'd easily purchase anything they made. Yup, yup! The viral attention they've garnered so far is also one hell of an impressive asset.
