I echo this. You did an excellent job, and I feel it really captures the essence of both Kid and Chrono Cross as a whole; the edge of the ocean, looking onto the horizons of time, both the potentials-to-come and the what-could-have-beens.

I agree, that's some fantastic coloring. XD The only thing I worry about though is values. Kid, right now, despite having only "slightly" darker value than the background seems to meld in with it, given the value range of the background itself, and as a result it starts to look murky.

Still, as a practice piece, this is pretty great, with some pretty good brush-work on the cliff.
