I like Xenosaga, a great balance of difficult gameplay and wonderful cinematics to relax and enjoy after working hard to earn it. I don't have any problems with FMVs, whether there are alot or not. Games simply need to last longer, really, no matter how many FMVs there are. This is why I want DQ8.

Well, many RPGs are like interactive animes, so a nice balance aint to bad. Plus, with RPGs, it cant really tell the story through actions so cutscenes and FMVs are necessary, unless in Shin Megami Tensei

Making it a more cinematic experience is a good thing...

No it isn't. A cinematic experience isn't interactive. You sit there and watch. That's fine for a movie, but poison for a game.

It appears as though we need a trip through English 101 or something...Sentenal's use of the language implies not making games into movies, but making them MORE like movies. They are after all, both story-telling devices...Meh...whatever...

Games, especially RPGs, need last only as long as you do not grow bored of the story or characters (don't intentionally draw it out, we can tell!) and also so that we don't get bored of the gameplay. Isn't it wicked cool how that works out? >_>
