The english script in the japanese version is the new one?
« on: December 07, 2009, 07:26:17 pm »
Hey guys!

I am really excited with this port, as I played the original when I was 13 years old... so this is going to be a real time travel for me :D

I just ordered the japanese version which comes with the english script bundled. Someone can confirm me if the english script of the JP version is the original one from the SNES, or the new english script of the DS US version?

Thanks!

No, it's not the same from the SNES. There are many examples: Like Masamune over Grandleon, Fiends over Demons, Antiquity over... whatever was used back then (forgot that one), etc.

Don't know if it matches with the USA version (I only have the Japanese one), but I'm sure it's the same. After all, it's already translated, so why bother?

Masamune is now named Grandleon? I prefer Masamune by far!

Hmm, I think it is just the French version?
IIRC, it is still Masamune in the English script of the JPN version

No, Grandleon is in the Japanese versions, Masamune is used for the USA SNES and in the English of the DS versions.
