"Mr. Twilight" in Cross event debug list
« on: June 12, 2009, 08:04:25 pm »
 08. To World Time Forgot
 09. Station Pass Taken
 10. HighwayMan
 11. DeadSea Lavos Info.
 12. DeadSea Hero Sword
 13. EnteringTowerOfGeddon
 14. Highway Rubbish
 15. Station Mr.Twilight{end}

See the end, there? What could Mr. Twilight have been referring to as written by one of the developers for an event?

Edit: Maybe where LIS #27 is read? Although it seems to be after that...

I have no idea what "Mr. Twilight" is, but I did some investigation into what the debug stuff in room 242 does.
Those are lists of event flags.

Mr. Twilight: possible reference to miguel, and the constant state of "twilight", or almost twilight, that he was in.  i mean, the sun was "about" to set...

Sorry, but it looks like that theory is wrong.
I made use of that debug menu, and explored the Dead Sea after setting that event flag.
"Mr. Twilight" is that ghost who says "   It-is-time... You-must-go...You-will-miss-the-train."

That is awesome.
I thought it was Miguel too.

I thought that Mr. Twilight was a very weird way to refer to him, but even so, I thought it was referring to him anyway.

Somehow, it remind of FF6 'Ghost Train' part. The train will send you to nether underworld.....
As awesome it is, Miguel is not suitable to be 'Mr. Twilight'
because to me, twilight is like a combination of Light and Dark, while Miguel is White innate.
It more suited Serge/Lynx I think or Time Devourer(Schala 'light', Lavos 'Dark')

EDIT
or the other way around, Twilight may refer to gradually lost of light/hope.
And it pretty much suited to Miguel sad history.

駅廃虛黄昏の紳士

駅 station
廃虛 ruin
黄昏 twilight
紳士 gentleman

 :picardno
So 駅=train station(not sentry), which I didn't figure out before.

So it is just "a gentleman waiting in the train sation at twilight".

I checked the string table of CC demo version today (never took a look before although it has been there for months)

Element names are not complete, there are too many EL-number or charactername-number among them.
Techs have a "技" before them, which means tech/skill, instead of an icon, consumable elements have a "※" before them.

Something interesting:

0x33. 炎狼
This is fire wolf. Likely it is the original red wolf(Marid in JPN version).
0x36. 風神
This is Fuujin -- who played FF8 should know what that is, literally the wind god.
0x38. 雷神
This is Raijin, literally thunder god.
0x3B. UFO
Hmm, this must be the Mothership.

There are only 3 named keyitems, they are:

0x1. 大トカゲのウロコ   -- Komodo Scale (Big Lizard Scale)
0x2. サメの歯のお守り  -- Shark Tooth (Shark Tooth Amulet)
0x3. キッドのお守り -- Kid's Amulet (Maybe the Astral Amulet in final version)

Enemies - quite different from the final version. Some examples:

0x1C. アカシア竜兵  -- Acacia Dragon Soldier (Dragoon in US version)
0x1D. アカシア竜 -- Acacia Dragon (hmm, there's a stand alone dragon?)
0x28. 秘密兵器 -- Secret Weapon (hm, Grobyc or ..?)
0x38. 青竜さま -- Blue Dragon sama (other dragons are also in color-dragon-sama pattern)
0x58. 黄昏の紳士 -- Gentleman Twilight, this is right before Miguel
0x72. 機械兵器 -- Robotic weapon
0x81. 幽霊船 -- Ghost ship

Gotta sleep, posted the file as attachment, will check it later.

Neo Fio & Harle
« Reply #11 on: December 03, 2009, 03:21:05 am »
Harle's name was ハーレー(Ha-re-) in CC demo, not ツクヨミ(Tsukuyomi).
Consider Guile  was Gil, so I wonder they were taken from the demo version.
Another different is Neo-Fio, it was 改良ラブルー(Improved La Blue?)

Pip's slots are filled with C13号 ( C No.13), I don't know whether that is his name, or just an unsettled character.

The last 2 slots are filled with Lynx, which means there could be new characters between he and Pip, but eventually they felt 45 characters are enough.
