ReMixed Game Music...On Pr0n?

Did I get the internet savvy lingo right?

Well, this is just an interesting bit I found out a while ago...I was at a kegger with some friends and people were getting bored, so I said I was going to put a movie on...I was either going to put in Taxi or The Bourne Supremecy (because I had seen neither), but then some other people came in saying 'hey, put in the lesbian porn!'. I'm not one to argue porn, but I feel that watching it with a room full of guys (there was one girl though) is just...awkward? wierd? many things, I'm sure...Plus, lesbian porn can be kind of bleh to me...

ANYWAYS...After a couple scenes, my friend points out the strange music...Then I realize I had heard it before...But where from? "It sounds like some of your video game music" he says and BINGO! That's where it was from! I had downloaded it from OverClocked quite a while ago...I don't think it's there anymore (it might be at VGRemix or w/e though) because it was a Counterstrike remix...And...Counterstrike doesn't have music...So they axed it...I think it should have stayed myself because they use the timer beeping, which I believe can be music, like I think 60 Minutes' ticking should be considered music...

Either way...It was wierd...and this post seems really wierd to me now...

Reminds me of a similar affair sophomore year of high school.  It was after the last football game -- the trombones had transcribed the Zelda music for marching season, so that was great.  We'd already purchased a sword earlier in the day, so that was awesome.  We went over to the house of one of my vampire friends, the guy hosting the party.  His hot sister, who's now in the colorguard at my former high school, greeted us as I came in and went out back to the shed.  There were two, one of which had the food and everything in it, plus a TV set.  We played Dynasty Warriors for a while on that one, and then we decided to bust out the DVDs.  There were two main choices, a Hustler DVD and one of the movie version of the first book in the Left Behind series.  Not too hard to pick there.  That was the first time I ever saw a wang that wasn't mine...eesh.  I don't know what women see in us, anyway.  There were four or five of us -- me, my best friend, a trombonist/vampire friend/enemy of ours, one of his chick-types, another guy with Asperger's Syndrome which is the same unfortunate genetic disorder I have, and some other dude that left early.  We moved past that real quick, getting on to the lesbian stuff.  Then, we decided to haul all our stuff over to the other shed, which had a pool table, a foosball table, and a diminutive sampling of other arcade accoutrements.  As the night went on, we slowly became desensitized to the porn, until the point that we started complaining about the lack of musical variety and compositional aptitude of the film's score.  At that point, we realized that it was probably time to turn it off.  Then, another dude played Dynasty Warriors for like ever, and then about 6 AM we hooked up my GameCube, and had hella fun at the sound test menu with the grunting and screaming voice effects from Peach and Zelda...I'll let you draw your own conclusions.  Suffice it to say, we were tired as hell and laughing like drunk guys, even though none of us had actually drank anything.  We went out to the other shed, and sang Godsmack's Voodoo and Let Me Rest in Peace from the Buffy musical.  Post-that, we went over to the barn in back to fetch some beer.  There was a fence in between us and the barn -- those of you who've seen the pictures I posted in here will know that I'm pretty good-sized, and thus had a fairly hard time getting over the fence without falling.  The barn was locked, and we were too tired to circumvent it, so we went back.  The only way to do that would be to go over the fence again, but I didn't feel like it.  So I pried the lock open with my bare hands.  About that time, Mom came to get me, and I went home and fell asleep for like ever.

Sound and music exert a considerable power over my mentality and life, I'd say.
