Where The Wild Things Are
« on: October 18, 2009, 01:53:04 am »
Spike Jonze is a genius. My wife and I saw this film tonight and I'm just completely overwhelmed. The way it grasped the essence of what we go through as humans was really just... inspiring, really. I couldn't help but get choked up several times, the dialogue having hit close to home. Once I mentally digest it some more I think I'm going to write a short review of it (one should never review a concept until considerable time has been given to it)...

So. What did you think?

Saw it the other day, too.

I remembered the book being really short (for a children's book, of course)... but only 10 sentences long!?

Anyway, great adaptation, captivating environment, funny moments... it was really nice to watch.

As such, I now have a subject for my next essay.

"Where the Wild Things Are: A Sociological Insight to Group Dynamics within a Collective Autocracy."

I haven't seen it, I might eventually, but I really hope spike wins an academy award for this.
