Believe it or not, we still don't have Mode 7 scene sprites (namely, from the Jetbike mini-game and the Epoch Lavos scene).

Spriters' Resource might have acquired a few of these. Anyone know if layers can be disabled in ZSNES during these scenes? They'd be easy to grab with some savestates in that case.

I'm gonna try to grab these, but I have a question.. the Epoch's gauge needles are flipping all over the place during the scene. Do we need all of those positions?

Some of the bike scene sprites, still have to get the road and double check to make sure I got them all.

EDIT: Okay, I did miss a few of the bike sprites. Going back to grab those, then piecing the road together. Are this and Epoch crash the only scenes we need?

Think so, yeah. Basically just the Epoch sprite in mid-flight. I think it changes size dynamically though, so maybe that'd preclude a successful rip; not sure...

Bike sheet with rotating bikes. Next is stitching together the road, then the Epoch scene.

Do we have screens of the animation that plays inside a gate, when you're going through the 'tunnel'?

I was told the road wasn't as important. I have screenshots of it, but I don't think they're in the right order, the real trouble would be patching them together. I think it can be done in three pieces, possibly, I'm just not sure where the "seams" should be.

Vehek, you made my day with the announcement that Spriters' Resource is back!!

They do have the Gate Interior. Zephira, you could probably submit your rips and reproductions to the Spriters' Resource. Even if some things have been ripped already, if you feel yours are better don't let that make you hesitate, since they've overwritten incomplete submissions from time to time.

They only have one piece of the Gate Interior though, no way anyone could make a natural resolution animation from that. Alright, either this weekend or next, I'm going to get the inside of the gate (and recolour the prerelease monkies. One of the attack sprites that Vehek provided has an odd palette, so I might have to either palette reduce, or try to find that frame elsewhere.)

There are two other mode7 scenes; The Future Refused to Change, and Lavos spinning through space. Do we need those too?

For Lavos spinning through space, just...the earth, and...I really don't know how Lavos would be ripped, since he varies so much. I'm not sure what the base would be.

Chickenlump once told me to take a savestate and get the graphics through Tile Molester, but they still seemed to be compressed or something. (I was trying to do the Mode 7 Epoch scene.)
