Presbyterianism

Associate Reformed Presbyterianism, to be precise. Does anyone know what exactly the ARP believes and on what side of the liberal-Christian, conservative-Christian scale their on? I sat through one of their services and couldn't really tell, and unfortunately, Wikipedia's rather evasive on the specific dogma.

I figure we have at least 4 people who know a great deal about various sects, so...yeah.

Well, looks like I'll be starting things off with some religious humor that hopefully everyone here can appreciate.  The only reference to Presbyterianism which characterizes the denomination in any meaningful way for me is actually this song:

...which ends with the tale of a despicable man who is punished by way of marriage to a Presbyterian.  Seems to imply that Presbyterians are well known for being conservative.

I did do some searching around for the Associate Reformed Presbyterians, and I'm not sure on the particulars at the church you attended, but the language on their website makes the former Baptist in me uncomfortable.  That is to say that denomination on the whole also looks really conservative.  Not sure if that is what you are looking for.

Did you see this overview from their website? http://www.arpchurch.org/Site/What_We_Believe.html
