Thanks Faust! It really helped me through those long days! XD

Yeah, I'm back. It was pretty cool!

The first two days were kinda lame...up at 6:45, bed at midnight...and they worked us to the bone during the day. I also had the triple job of being the Point of Contact, the Primary logo designer, and one of the Surveying team's members. Points of Contact are the representatives of the teams...they convey info from team to team and from team to admins. So I was running around all the first two days consulting and logo...ing...

However, Wednesday was better despite the EPIC FAILURE at the end, and Thursday and Friday were amazing-awesome-exiting-fun!

So we set up a mission to Mars (10 ppl, 30 days) with the other teams (there were four--grey, red, white, blue; I was on blue) and deigned and built a Mars Rover, Lander, and rocket, none of which worked...

Blue Team failed epicly, I'm sorry to say. Our budget ended up being...~400 mil. Our lander...the egg somehow broke before we launched it, so...we lost 300 mil for a broken egg. It really ruuiiinnned my Wednesday, but the next morning it was fine again, and I'd made friends, so I had fun actually working with people I knew. Plus...there was less of a sense of urgency, now that we were clearly out of the running. So we sort of relaxed and chilled out.

Out rocket didn't deploy parachute, and our rover started losing pieces. Eventually both back tires and the mechanical arm fell off. XD

There were speakers during lunch, we toured the Saturn V rocket (from the outside), and went to historic mission control. There were other things that happened, but I can't really describe the experience with...text. Let's just say the overall experience was a really, really good one.

I learned a lot...it didn't really influence my career choice, but it put a lot of things in perspective regarding college and career-finding. I'm glad I went. I'm also glad to be back in the land of good food and decent sleep. :)
