This thread is for YOU to discuss your favorite fan art period which includes OC. (Original Character) art.

Mine are some pics of Schala at Princess Schala's Blog but she never seems to be home so I can't discuss it with her.

I also like Magus art too.

It is hard to decide which is my favorite since there are so many excellent ones.

But maybe this is by far the best FATE I've ever seen.

I don't like all of them(Leena and Kid's faces give a strange feeling, Greco seems to have been on a diet, Turnip has a face that a way too round), although, some of them, for example, Glenn, Riddel, Marcy, Fargo, Viper, Razzly... are perfectly drawn.

Thanks utunnels, I'll have to take a gander at that gallery. I'm so behind on fan art perusal, I've lost my edge as a connoisseur. Here's what I had back in 2007:

You don't see Cyrus drawn that often outside of Akira Toriyama's official art, which makes this CuteLucca piece a real treat. After seeing this, I could never envision these characters in any other way than how they appear here: Glenn slightly disheveled and eager to prove himself, though his gaze retains the edginess of having grown up with other kids beating the snot out of him constantly; Cyrus keeping a watchful eye on his adopted little bro'. And the attention to detail -- ah yes, the attention to detail...

This is part of a larger work from Emperor Justin. Schala's exquisitely moody and forlorn here, like she's had a really depressing day -- like, a Lavos-waking-up kind of day. And perhaps neatest of all, the artist seems to have left the shape of her ears ambiguous. I prefer to think of Schala and even Magus as having normal ears, though I know lots of fans like their Zealians to be Elvish.

Lucca is no longer nerdy - she's effin stylish. Now, that's an RPG battle stance if I've ever seen one. Sans turtle helmet and with sledgehammer, this is the type of depiction that can totally change the course of a fanfic mid-conception; I'm never leaving Lucca out of a story if I can help it.

Look at it! I just love the style--kinda cute, but not quite chibi. It reminds me of Legend of Mana (whose art I absolutely adore, by the way)...I guess that's why I'm so drawn to this piece. He started out with Robo and I think he colored it too, but when I saw Frog, this immediately became my favorite.

If anyone wants to get a closer look at what's in Pixiv, Yoko-Endovale has some guides for registration and use here.
Remember, the whole site is in Japanese, so you'll have to get Japanese names for the characters and games from the scripts and encyclopedias here.
