Pandor, you WIN. I want that Magil doll so bad. I wish you could sell these.

Also, feminine Gaspar body is hilarious.

Oh yeah, will you be making masks for the Guile and Magil dolls?

Thank you! :D If you reeeally reeeeeally want your own personal Magil you could always commission mesomeone to make you one--the world of doll-making-and-commissioning is vast and wide. :) Further more, my skill at painting doll faces has greatly improved since I made my Magil... ;)

XD Yeah, Gaspar's body is a unisex gymnast Mattel thingy. I don't know why, but I wanted him to be short. ^^;;

I will be making Magil and Guile masks--actually, Magil does have one already, but I'm not happy with it and want to make a new one. :/

GAH! I forgot to take pics over the weekend! D: Will have to do so later--maybe I'll get Ayla's hair styled in between then and now...

About how much do doll commissions usually cost? I'm clueless when it comes to dolls :D

Do you think it's possible to fit in Gaspar's snot bubble?

I can't say I care too much for dolls... But I will admit, those are pretty epic... Have you ever considered sculpting a full character?

I'd love to see a few from Chrono Cross.... Lynx namely. Anyway, you have a sculpting talent I've strived to achieve for years but failed...

These are all awesome!
Love what your doing with Magil/Guile.
And that Glenn/frog is looking PERFECT!

I'm often customizing/sculpting action figure/doll stuff.
My GF and I made a Kidd using one of the basic 7.5 inch teen dolfie bodies
a while back.
I'll have to post some pics of it soon.
It's not as good as the sculpting featured on these, but my GF did an amazing job on the costume.

Dialga_Palkia: Thank you! :)

Zephira: The really great face-up artists tend to charge quite a bit, like between 50-100+ usd just for the face--but they are more talented than I, so I suppose they have that right. XD

Being slightly more insecure in my abilities than they, I'd probably charge around $25usd for painting the face+rooting the hair+sculpting ears, plus cost of the materials (Junkyspot, my doll retailer of choice, sells the body I used for $20.99, and the head for $4.99)... So somewhere around $50usd total, I'd say. (Oh, plus shipping, too. ^^ )

I do know of another doll artist out there who's made Magus and Flea dolls for commission, with complete outfits and accessories to boot, for around $120 each. (Though frankly I'm not fond of the head she chose for them. :/ )

As for Gaspar's snot bubble, it's in my grand plan! Just need to figure out what to make it out of, but his nostrils are deep enough to stick it in. XD

Satoh: Thank you! Technically they're more action figures than dolls--Barbie could never pull off the crazy poses these guys can. XD
To answer your question, I do want to sculpt full bodied characters eventually--but I want to take some more sculpture courses first. ^^;;
I wouldn't have done very well at all on these heads if I hadn't taken Sculpture II last year.

I definitely plan of making Lynx! That would be so badass! >w<

Sooperkreep: Thank you! :D You should post your Kid dollfie, I'd love to see her! >3<

They have hair... they're dolls... >.>; though I do respect the distinction. I have a few action figures myself... but none of them have hair XD

I have one of the anniversary series Yuffie figures and a Nagato Yuki figma. I have a few Xenosaga Gashopon as well...

I'm a 3D modeler/game designer, and I sometimes buy them (if they're cheap enough) to use as gesture/proportion resources... even then I sometimes can't get the shape in my head... onto my screen...

I really wish I could hand sculpt like that though...

Argh, I don't think I'm going to be able to take anymore photos until I get them all a little closer to completion...

So here's a MASTERPIECE for you all (especially maggiekarp <3 ):

lol, jk. XD I was just playing around in SAI.

Here's something a bit better:

And if you're interested, the same image without the line art is here.

MAGIL YES. Man I love that expression, he looks so impatient. Plus, your RD Serge is really cute.
Thanks again for the cake!

RD Serge looks awesome! And Kid looks mighty fierce. And Magil...badass. Very cool, a delightful change of pace.

I'm looking forward to your completed dolls ^_^

RD!Kid looks a little masculine, but the overall mood of the picture is great. And you know, anything with Magil in it can't go wrong

Zephira: Heehee, you're welcome! Was delish cake, no? :D And thanks! :)

mav: Thank you! \:D/

Satoh: Oro? Of course I draw, did you miss the first page? o_O XD Also, am lesbian, sorry. :)

maggiekarp: I dunno, I'm kinda disappointed with how Marle turned out--she could have been MORE gorgeous--but Magus looks perfect, doesn't he? XD lolthx. :)

anonymouse: Thank you! Yeah, I think she turned out kinda masculine, too--but considering how she gets mistaken for a boy once or twice in the game, I think it's an acceptable level of masculinity. Plus she's all pumped-up re: finally getting revenge on Lynx you bastard grrr grr I'm gunna fuckin' get ya this time you sunnuva grrrrrr.
:D
