Orlha and Tia

Well, I know there were topics about this. It seems the encyclopedia tends to think an unknown tragedy separated them or they are dimensional equivalents of each other.

So let's see the script once again:

Quote
Orlha:
   According to old legends,
   '"Twins are signs of tragedy..."'
   When I was a child, I was
   separated from my mother and
   sister, who left El Nido...
   I only had my father.
I felt as if half of my
   body had been lost.
   There was a huge
   void in my heart...

So according to the El Nido culture, twins are misforturne. So their mother had to take away one of the child and left their home town. The game doesn't give enough details, but "left El Nido" kinda hints they went to the mainland, and the Ultimania confirmed that they moved to the mainland. But no matter what, they lost contact with each other since then. Before the separation, each of the twins kept half of a Blue Brooch, hoping they could meet again someday.

Orlha had been living with her father before moved to Guldove, we don't know when did that happened, but 10 years ago seems to be a popular time.
Tia probably lived with her mother in the mainland, maybe she knew Doc.  Later Tia and Doc moved to Guldove from the mainland for some reason....

So maybe Tia died in Another World while Orlha met the similar fate in Home World. The 2 survivors from different worlds united at last, like Dario and Riddel.

In my honest opinion, this sounds more sensible than the other theory I've heard...though how often is it explicitly stated that Orlha has a twin? And Orlha adds to the confusion herself with this statement:
Quote
Orlha:
   Chuckle... I never told this
   story to anyone before...
   Strange.
   Sometimes I really feel that
   there are countless worlds...
And I am not the only me...
   Does this sound odd?
Which seems to suggest a cognitive understanding of the fact that Orlha knows she is Tia. Then again, Orlha also refers to herself as "big sister"...why would believe her dimensional equivalent as younger than she is? And why is Tia's name Tia, not Orlha?

Blah, I dunno, their story makes no sense to me...

EDIT: Or was Tia just the name given to this coma patient?

I guess part of the dimensional counterpart thing idea comes from this line:
Quote
Tia:
I was having a long dream...
   Orlha...
   I finally meet you...
   Your hair, your eyes,
   we are both really alike...
   For we are twin sisters,
   born on the same planet...

Anyway, Orhla mentions Tia by name soon after talking about being separated from her.

Yeah, but it still makes sense if there was another Orlha in Home World. The game seems to suggest a strong mental linkage between twins, and parallel worlds theory makes it more mysterious. The fact Orlha remembered his family somehow prove at least she used to have a twin sister, her father should have told her something.

Hm, I don't get it.  Do you mean that's something similar to Turnip the dream creature?

What part? I was just trying to say that the Compendium's official view seems to be that Orlha and Tia literally "never met" until their meeting in the game.

Which seems to suggest a cognitive understanding of the fact that Orlha knows she is Tia.
It's probably no more an indicator than the other mentions of believing there's another version of them in an alternate world (such as Kiki's dad in Home World...actually, maybe that's the only other one.)

They didn't know each other because they were still young(probably they were still babies).
Since twins were treated as sign of misfortune, so they had to be separated.

I suggest that Orlha's father told her the whole story.
