I'm glad you had a good and enlighting time!

I visited a few parts of Europe back in 2003. I've always wanted to travel more, and probably will so in the next year or so.

As for religion, I agree with you. I don't like religion really, and hate how everyone thinks that their fucking religion is the "right one", and I'll burn in hell if I don't pick theirs. I like mental enlightenment and pure knowledge.

HOLY STARK IT'S PICTURES

Abbey Road Studios; not much to look at.

Pretty nice pub in Salisbury; I had actual fish and chips.

Mercifully spared the overbearing smell of incense at the cathedral.

Rosetta Stone.

Saw Prince in London, and we stopped at a local steakhouse and debated the merits of contemporary pop music.

OKAY I DIDN'T SORRY

OH NO THE AUTOBAHN

Mayen.

Bonn. And that's about all you'll get of Germany  :( Going to Prague:

God, I'm almost comically tall in that picture. You can tell I'm trying to slouch down; it's a natural reaction when I'm pictured with people that I really have to be careful about. It's just automatic from having the top of my head cut off sometimes or being told to "scrunch in".

The Mucha window in St. Vitus's Cathedral.

My Slovak and Italian friends.

The Dancing House. Yes, it was way too hot for me to be wearing an undershirt.

Last night in Prague. It was so nice eating sweets at 9 PM in some cafe in the old town. That takes care of Czecho, so now for Slovakia:

Entering Bratislava.

Napoleon. I loved the flair they gave him; it's sort of like the photograph of Hitler in Paris, where you can tell he's trying to hide his sick giddiness at having rolled into France with little opposition.

More of the center. Now, for Devin Castle, where the Morava meets the Danube:

My hair is an utter disaster there...

Heidelberg.

Our unfortunate rental car.

Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Austria highway stickers.

Finally, a nice pool at a Frankfurt airport hotel before that torturous plane trip back.

Whoa is that really Stonehenge? That is badass.
Those buildings are really beautiful, too. Lucky!

Whoa, Z -- did that building's center of gravity shift when you stepped near it? Hahah, that's some really fun architecture.

And I love that metro in the background. Hope the US catches up in that regard.

It'd be almost comical if Z went to Asia. I'll probably be hopping over to Japan soon, but this thread really makes me want to travel to Europe instead.

Great photos! I didn't know Stonehenge had cement blocks added in.

I miss Europe.  I studied in Edinburgh in 2008 and it was a great eye-opening experience, and it taught me a lot about my own limited worldview.  I highly encourage everyone to get out of the United States and see the world - and interact with the locals.
