I'm not dead. This isn't dead. Just keep getting sidetracked. Pro'lly start it up in winter when 1.1 (I mean, never mind) gets out.
Don't ask, don't tell.

Dude, I would to do a voice, I'm just not sure what parts are available or which I'd like to do, could you send me some sample text so I can record an audition for you?

I have always messed around with doing voices in RL and stuff, but never actually tried out for a project. So this would be great to try out for!

I'm just waiting. If you'd like me to re-do the Marle segments, I can. The previous Marle was a BS because I still thought we'd get someone else.

Sure Katie, I need to acquire a new mic. before anything else (because my current one fizzled.)

Awesome. I planned on shopping for a microphone tomorrow anyways, so this works out perfectly. And I sent you a reply, by the way; if you haven't replied tomorrow I'll just send you what you requested and hold off on the other character.

This is so exciting.

Excellent. Everything is about to fall into place.

Btw, seeing as there's going to be soooo much to cover, I'll pro'lly leave the text boxes in the scenes.
That'll save lots of time. Also, before we can truly begin, we're going to need Marle and Ayla. Anyone want to audition? Just record some segments and send them to my email.

Zakyrus_theOmega@yahoo.com

If you want some lines here they are:

Quote
Prehistoric Woman: Wow!
You VERY strong.
What name?

Marle: He's Crono.
That's Robo, and I'm Marle.

Prehistoric Woman: Marle, Robo and Crono huh?
Strong names, very good. Me? Me...

Prehistoric Woman: Me Ayla.
Ayla like strong people.
So Ayla REALLY like Crono!

Ayla: You all strong.
Ayla respect strong people.
Both men and women.

Ayla: Robo, you different, but strong too.

Robo: It's because I'm a robot.

Ayla: "Row bott?"
What that?
{Ayla} don't know.

Robo: A robot is defined as:
"An externally mechanical manlike device capable of behaving in a human-like manner."

Ayla: What you say?!
"Ecks Tern A Lee?"
"Maw Kann Ikle?"
No rubbish or Ayla head go boom!

Ayla: Ayla from Ioka.
Crono, where from?

Marle: Uh, how can we explain?

Robo: It is beyond her grasp.

Marle: We're from many days ahead of tomorrow.

Ayla: Ha ha, you funny.
Ayla like funny people.

Ayla: Come to village!
We talk and eat.
Dance! Drink! Fun!!

Marle: Thank you but we can't.
We're looking for a Dreamstone.

Ayla: Stone? Plenty stones!
Here, there, at village.
You can take plenty.

Marle: What we are actually looking for is a stone that's very rare!

Ayla: Ohhhhh! That's Rare Red Rock!
You look for "Chief's Stone!"

Marle: You know of one?

Ayla: There's one at village!
Come! Come!

Marle: Should we go with her?

Robo: We should. I doubt that she would lead us to any danger.

Ayla: Come Crono!
Ioka village this way.

There you have it!

Why does it take years to get my transition drugs... I want to voice a few roles in there so badly!

I...should not make promises I can't keep...I'll get those recordings in soon, but I'm not sure when. Hopefully before the month is out, but...argh! Something always gets in the way!

No hurries. I know how that can be... Still need a Schala and Marle for the "Experimental Episode anyways".

Sounds great. Who do you want to do?

Edit:
By the way, I don't have messenger so I can't accept your invitation on IM.
Emails or PMs on the Compendium are the easiest way to get ahold of me... just to let you know.

Well seeing as I "soulplay" Schala (long story...) I would like to voice her. I have the Audacity sound edit program so I might be able to modulate my voice until I really get the drugs.

I've done it before and if I speak softly, well... I've been able to convince people before.

My concern is my microphone is internal, and I think the cooling fan inside my laptop or the CPU running noises might make it sound like crud. I probably could send you a sample.

Well, it's been a little while since any public updates so let me show you what's been happening behind the scenes.  :D

I am finished recording and tweaking the voice of Queen Zeal!
I did it myself because I wanted the pronunciation a certain way. (I was very picky on how it had to be done, so I did it on my own)

However, before I start integrating it into video...
I want to REALLY make sure that we all agree that this voice is perfectly sinister for the Queen's role. I made several attempts and (when I got it right) then I listened to it after recording and mixing, it sent shivers through my soul. I said to myself, 'this is IT!' I have made a 2 minute and a half sampler using part of the scene with Magus, Schala and Queen Zeal in the Ocean Palace. I hope everyone finds this version of Magus much more suitable for his role. Thanks to Princess Schala Zeal for the sound clips as well. (though, I'll still have to put a little more tweaking into those)

Note: The Prophet's line at the beginning sounds differently than Magus (this is intended)
Of course, I threw in some sound effects and music to make it more interesting...

Download the sampler <here>, listen, and then give feedback!

Positive feedback welcome.
Negative feedback welcome. However, please state why you'd oppose it.
Thank you.

Soon, I will release an experimental episode of the scene with Magus and the party at Northern Cape. If all goes well (like Square doesn't come out of nowhere telling me this cannot be done) we can begin work on Episode 1 "The Millennial Fair" (Of course, we still need a Marle for this) Around that time, I will release the entire script of all episodes so that voice actors can work on their parts at their own pace.

I hope to have all episodes done and released before *ahem* 'something' else I've been working on, gets put out there to the mainstream.

Also, I will be creating a video tutorial on some of the techniques I use with Audacity to get the max out of it--which I hope will assist our voice actors even more. ;)

Please send me a male part to read. I'd love to show you my acting, and I have a really good mic.

Zakyrus, obviously you're using voice modding software. I have to ask -- what product?

I came across something called MorphVOX Pro and I'm considering using it for my voicing role.
