Oh and Bekkler, John Noble as Belthasar is fucking perfect--I've thought that he'd be good for the role for quite a well, but sadly Scarlett Johansson is just too bosomy for the part of Marle. And Michael Caine would be fucking hilarious as Gaspar--that'd do quite well. Melchior needs someone a little heavier, in my opinion; someone booming and a little intimidating. John-Rhys Davies might work, but I don't really know.

I think the playable characters are the most challenging to cast--most of 'em need to be in their early twenties, otherwise it'd either look terrible (i.e. with actors too old for the part) or it'd be a fucking teen movie (with actors the "right" age for the part). Aaron or Shawn Ashmore could have made a decent Crono, if they were a little younger.

I think I'd have to boycott a movie. The addition of vocals to the experience alone would be enough to put a stain on things for me, if they didn't match the characters that I've had in my head all these years.

I found the added cutscenes in the PSX and DS versions strange in themselves. Not bad, but they deviated a bit from my impressions from the game with their added visual detail. Wasn't sure what to make of them.

Can't imagine an actor playing Crono, really. Think it'd be a worse experiment than Russel Crowe's upcoming version of Robin Hood!

As a non-anime type of guy (well, for the most part), I forbid the use of anime voice actors!

Obviously, the immortal (literally, sort of) Adrian Paul should play Magus:


Give Adrian Paul a scythe, color his hair blue, and give him whatever personality you ascribe to Magus...and subtract the Scottish Highlander accent. There's never been any doubt in my mind, though it helps to imagine Magus with tied-back hair.

Mark Hamill, holy shit, he'd be hilarious. Especially if he decided to act like an over-the-top, buffoon of a villain. Though hot, Linda Cardellini is twice as old as Marle, but whatever. Alan Arkin would be an exceptional Doan.

Drew Carey as Melchior...interesting, can he act well?

He did okay as Geppetto, but generally, no.  :(

Man, I recently realized I don't know of any child actors anymore. I thought the kid who played Leech in Xmen 3 would make a great Janus, but he's too old now. Linda Cardellini is gorgeous, and I remember her from her role of Freaks and Geeks. At that age (like 10 years ago?) would have been perfect as Marle. Damn you, TIME!!!!

I think the subject is a little misleading... "Who would you cast in a Chrono movie?" Does that mean who would YOU play in a Chrono movie? or what everyone has been doing?
