PAX 2009 -- A Compendium Posse?
« on: May 10, 2009, 03:01:25 pm »
Given the disproportionate number of Compendiumites who live in Washington, I think we should get together at PAX this year (September 4 - 6, Fri-Sun), at least for lunch, if nothing else. I've been trying to talk ZeaLitY into attending; he seems persuadable, but he'd be that much more likely to take the plunge if he knew there would be many of us going.

So, where do you stand?

The ticket is $50-55, but I can't seem to find when it is. I don't know if I'll be able to get the money. If I can save up for a ticket, I'll definitely attend.

In Washington State? There's no way I can make it, sorry.

If it were in Boston... I could probably convince my mom to let me go.

You're in luck. There's going to be a satellite PAX on the east coast in the future. I don't think Gabe and Tycho will be directly running it, but it'll be the same basic idea.

I really wanted to go this year actually, $50 is manageable, but I'll also need to look up hotels in they area and if there a Compendium meet up then that all the more reason.

I can go to the one on the east coast, if it's a decent drive. I mean, Boston's not too far from me. D.C. is a LONG trip, though. I'd love to go to this thing if it were on my coast, and us east coasties can meet up.

There are a lot of Compendium Washingtonites, I think. JP would have to come; we'd have some kind of CE interview.

But yeah, I won't know about whether I can attend until after my first trip.
