I don't see why it's impossible for Azala to have influenced Lavos's landing.

What technology could Azala possibly have that would influence Lavos?? There was no magic in 65,000,000 BC and they were not as advanced as the denizens of 1999 AD... What could they do?

Sorcery or some type, maybe? A spell-wrought summon, perhaps? I think that the comment of Spekkio's refers specifically to humans. After all, there are magical creatures remaining even in 1000AD, when magic had apparently disappeared.
Although I think that Azala only actually foresaw the landing, either through sorcerous means, or through simple astrology/astronomy. After all, if the Babylonians could do it, the Reptites probably could as well, to some degree. I'd hesitate to think of Azala doing it scientifically, though... the predictions seem very mythical, and not factual, more like seeing omens of doom in the heavens, rather than looking for incoming meteors.

Nothing in 65 million BC is observed to use magic.  Azala has telekinesis, the Tyrano breathes fire, and Nizbel released stored electrical energy, but none of these abilities are necessarily magical.  Spekkio stated that no one could use magic after the fall of Zeal except for Mystics.  He also told Ayla that she could not use magic because she was born before magic existed.

I think Azala's prediction of Lavos' impact was entirely scientific.  The Reptites observed Lavos in the sky (even in broad daylight), and calculated its trajectory and the environmental effects of its impact.

Then why is there a timeline where Lavos doesn't fall?

i dont think the repites had anything to do with Lavos.  There is the example of the reptite dimension, plus, why would they summon something that would destroy their civilazation, and later the planet?  if they summoned it, they would have surely know what it was that they were summoning.

Lavos missed Earth? Or Lavos never targeted Earth? I don't think you can get a definite answer from thet question.

The real question is, how would another Lavos that launches Lavos Spawns know which planets are habitable and which are not?

Perhaps it missed seeing the Earth as it proceeded to launch it mutitudes of Spawns out into space?

Well it probably has something to do with the planets ability to maintain life. Lavos probably looks for certain traits in each planet and if the planet meets the criteria then Lavos sends a spawn there.

Why would a race of reptites/dragonians who was very much in touch with their planet summon Lavos to destroy it and themselves to scrap a few humans?

I think it plays out much better if you assume Azala didn't summon him.

Didn't Azala say something the humans winning before lavos arrived? I always took it as meaning the Reptites were dieing out (presumably because of the humans). Therefore, it would sorta make sense for her to summon Lavos out of pure spite. After all, if you're dieng anyways, why not take your enemies down with you?

Actually, it was just the opposite.  Humans were loosing before Lavos.

Yea, before the fight Azala said that it would determine who rules the planet once and for all. And you can see Lavos in the background and Azala talks about it too. It's wouldn't make sense that Azala summoned Lavos at all.

When you play CT and defeat Lavos (New game +) before helping Ayla freeing the Labura Village's people from Azala, you have an ending with the begining scene but everyone is reptites...

So My guess is that Ayla went to fight Azala alone, but failed. So Azala sent the reptites on a rampage over Ayla's village (forgot the name : Ioka?) while they were rampaging Lavos fell from the sky destroyed tyrano Lair but some reptites survived.

What is still wierd is the fact that Azala knew the coming of Lavos, maybe it was all part of his plan to kill Ayla and raid Ioka(?), but Crono and co. went and killed all hope for reptites.

I agree, Humans were loosing when lavos fell.

Azala would never have summoned Lavos (I mean if Magus couldn't who could?) and has stated in CT Lavos is a parasite, using earth (or CT planet name) energy by corrupting the planet, to finally reproduce (in 1999 AD) so other Lavos could go and leech some other planets energy.

I think too that Lavos was here by "luck" he could have missed the earth to end up in the sun and die, that's the risk of life (I hope you understood me on this)

You can't take any of the new game + endings to heart. They are all for fun only, they do not pertain to the actual story.

It was not the simple event of Lavos's crashing into the planet that killed the Repities, it was the aftermath.  The Ice age.  Reptites were cold blooded, and could not survive in such an enviroment.

Ah true, but then the is a dimension where there are reptites (dinopolis?) where do they come from?
