I was referred to this forum by an IRL friend.

So yeah. Hi.

The Internet is no less real life than any other form of communication. This isn't a fantasy play land, and people here aren't as anonymous as they might think. I suggest treating people here with the same courtesy and respect you would if you were meeting them in person.

With that in mind, welcome to the Compendium.

Of course. I just use the term IRL to describe someone I've actually met face to face.

Though I refuse to be normal. D:

Average people aren't normal. They're merely weak-willed and incapable of thinking for themselves.

Refuse to be weak, not normal.

Nice to meet you too. o_O

Anyway, my friend knows I love to write, and recommended I join here and enter the Fanfic contest that's happening this month. So I figure that's how I'll start out here.

Bwahahaha!

Enjoy your time here then.

Also, as a writer, would you be interested in using a web-based, interactive fiction writing system that runs as a flash-game similar in style to Radical Dreamers?

That sounds...interesting to say the least.

Radical Dreamers is the demi-sequel to Chrono Trigger, sorta plays like a choose-your-own-adventure novel. It was for the Satellaview in Japan. There should be a section about it on the bar to the left.

Yup, Zephira explained it. I assume you mean the RP thread...?

Your assumption is dead wrong and doesn't fit what I described at all. How is the RP board flash-based and similar in gameplay to Radical Dreamers?

I mean literally making flash-based games with the same interactive gameplay mechanic as Radical Dreamers simply by adding pages of text/backgrounds/images with options/events/transition effects via a web-based game editor here on the site. Then anyone visiting would be able to load up your game and play it.

Oh! I missed the Flash part. Alright, thanks for telling me how I looked like an idiot. Welcome again, Falawful. I love that villian too.

Easy skimmer's mistake -- don't take it so harshly. I just lost two months of the forum's attachments by doing the same thing.

Anyway, I never pointed out explicitly that it was an idea for something that doesn't exist yet, but to be more clear, I'm looking for feedback on the idea of creating an interactive fiction game builder for the site's members to use.

That sounds Badass. I would help with that, definitely. If I could. Once more, sorry for Highjacking your thread, Falawful.

Lol, no problem. I actually think it's funny how it seems to happen to all the intro threads here.

And yeah, Ramsus, that sounds pretty awesome now that you clarified it.

Wait a minute...why the hell is this just in someone's random welcome thread? That sounds like an awesome idea!
