I think that's because that pic was on a wall in Zeal somewhere.  I think, anyway...

Well, compare the pic to Radical_Dreamer's avatar.  The avatar is the Sealed Door, while the pic is not quite the same.  Possibly a tapestry, maybe even the Zeal Royal Crest and/or Sigil?

Not quite what I was getting at though. While mine appears to have more depth (color issues), the difference I was refereing to is that there is an extra "spike" coming out from the shoulders. The tapestry has a total of 3 points, the door has a total of 4, with a small 4th point coming in between the lower 2 points.

Also the bottom comes in tighter on the door than in the tapsetry.

Yeah, it was a tapestry -- I have a saved game file in Zeal for my own obsessive reasons, so I just ran and took a screenshot.

Edit:  And hey, look -- They are different.

Yeah, but the differences are very slight, and are mostly because of scale issues for the sprites themselves.  The tapestries are much smaller than the doorways, and you can't get as much detail in them.

While they do look different, I'm betting that they are intended to be the same thing.

Isn't that symbol on the pic of the Astral Amulet's pouch dealy? I would assume that it would be easier to see in that pic than those 16-bit marvels...

It's also different on the Astral Amulet :

Anyway, isn't this symbol supposed to represent the Mammon Machine? The actual Mammon Machine sprite would have the most details then.
