I'd post a picture of my costume, but in all the pictures I look kind of, uh, drunk.  For those of you who are my friends on the Book of Faces, you can see me in all my tipsy communist glory.  All tipsiness the courtesy of vodka, of course.  XD

Here's a better one, with me, the gf, and my cousin from Australia who made a wonderful Charlie Chaplin. Gf did this awesome makeup on the top of one of my eyes and the bottom of the other, and I insisted on a lightning bolt. She had this weird metallic stuff that she put over the black cream "halloween" makeup and it turned brass and teal and all kinds of colors depending on how the light hit it. Quite intense.

Costumes are the proverbial bomb!

Very nice Mad Hatter, Mr Bekkler; that's one of the better ones I've seen! There was a raft of them this year in the style of the Tim Burton movie, but I like it best when one interprets a character for themselves.

When it comes to character costumes (for Halloween anyway) there are always going to be people who try to copy movie versions, but they forget that they are only one person and movies have teams of people and resources to get exactly what they want. Ultimately you will produce an unfaithful copy. So go original! That's my two cents.
