So, let's do some general discussion.

What was the defining element of Chrono Trigger for you? The thing that pushed you over the edge into becoming a real fan?

It's Zeal for me. Zeal is just a magical place, and a vision of heaven (minus all the drama).

Yeay for Chrono Trigger!

I think it had to be the awesome characters, the unique story, and the unheard of insane amount of replay value. No game truely matches Chrono Trigger in those departments...

CLASSIC!!!

Chrono Trigger really turned me into a fan during emulation.  It was the one game I could always find time to play, always find something else to do in, and when I started sprite editing and moving up in quality from FF6, I automatically upgraded to CT.  Ever since, this has been the only RPG for me.

So, yeah...10 years?  Nice.

The storyline, hands down. It is right up there with The Stand as one of my favorite stories. But the whole game itself is credited to my sheer obsessuion with video games in general.

For the American 10 year I am gonna pay homage by only playing Trigger that day. August 11th if I am not mistaken. I hope there isn't an exam on that day :/

The whole package.

The time-travel aspect is still largely untouched among RPGs. The graphics are awesome, for a 2D RPG on the SNES. The music is incredible. The plot is top-notch. The characters are real. Zeal is an awesome place. And the list goes on.
